In October of 1992, the American Legion drafted Resolution 31 in hopes of preventing the International Baccalaureate from influencing American schools. Resolution 31 is just as meaningful today as when it was issued nearly 20 years ago. As a resident of Ozark, Missouri, I am concerned that our educators and administrators are willing to turn over more control of the school district, especially to an international governing body, when federal education programs like No Child Left Behind have been disasters.
