A woman who sat in charge of a city's human resources had a hidden criminal record of her own. La Vergne officials said former Human Resources Director Anya Ryan had dozens of aliases, and now the city may have to foot the bill for identity theft protection for all of its employees. Before coming to La Vergne, Ryan had been serving a sentence for sending threatening letters to a police department in Connecticut. She was arrested under a different name: Anne Blangiard.
