Indiana State Police are investigating the reported battery of a state worker Thursday during the large union rally outside the Statehouse. First Sgt. Dave Bursten says a 33-year-old employee of the Indiana Department of Child Services told Capitol Police she was taking a smoking break around 12:15 p.m. at the west end of the Indiana Government Center South building when she was approached by three white men.
