Mahoning County Ohio fires Columbus law firm, saying it backs collective bargaining bill
Mahoning county has fired a law firm over controversial collective bargaining legislation, a move that underscores the political rancor involved in the debate over a bill to limit union rights of public employees, people on both sides of the issue said today. "It's setting Ohioans against each other and pitting Democrats against Republicans and it's getting messy," said state Sen. Joseph Schiavoni, a Youngstown-area Democrat and opponent of the collective bargaining bill. "I just don't believe this bill is in the bests [sic] interests of anybody right now."
