How the Princess of San Francisco spent our money and Judicial Watched exposed her

How’s paying millions for former Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s booze fueled flights working out for you? Judicial Watch filed a Freedom of Information Act request for costs of her use of our USAF as her personal taxi, and the results of their investigation just boggle our minds and rape our pocketbooks!

“According to the documents, the Speaker’s military travel cost the United States Air Force $2,100,744.59 over a two-year period–$101,429.14 of which was for in-flight expenses, including food and alcohol.” One CODEL (Congressional Delegation) started out in D.C., stopped down in Tel Aviv, Israel, and then flew on to Baghdad, Iraq on 5-15-2008, for a five day mission “to discuss matters of mutual concern with government leaders and their spouses and cost $17, 931 per hour in aircraft alone.”

Note: The FOIA reveals that on a 2007 stop in Israel, “CODEL could only bring Kosher items into the hotel; Kosher alcohol for mixing beverages in the delegation room was purchased on the local economy i.e. Bourbon, Whiskey, Scotch, Vodka, Gin, Triple Sec, Tequila, etc.”

The very in-the-know bar lists of all types of booze she and her parties tossed down include “Johnny Walker Red scotch, Grey Goose vodka, E&J brandy, Bailey’s Irish Creme, Maker’s Mark whiskey, Courvoisier cognac, Bacardi Light run, Jim Beam whiskey, Beefeater gin, Dewars scotch, Bombay Sapphire gin, Jack Daniels whiskey, Corona beer and several bottles of wine.”

Openly threatening our military

How could any elected official consume all of this alcohol with her drinking party and be sincere in representing the United States? Even more shocking are the arrogant emails Judicial Watch’s FOIA request uncovered, such as verbatim from a Pelosi intermediary: “It is my understanding there are no G5s available for the House during the Memorial Day recess. This is totally unacceptable. . The speaker will want to know where the planes are. . ” wrote Kay King, Director of the House Office of Interparliamentary Affairs. She, also, warned our military that “This is not good news, and we will have some very disappointed folks, as well as a very upset speaker.”

Most of Pelosi’s USAF taxi trips, however, flew her and her family members back and forth between D.C, and her home in San Francisco giving us a new definition of commuting to work.

An unidentified Pentagon official complained about all the hidden costs of the Pelosi trips saying, “We have. . folks prepping the jets and crew driving in, cooking meals, pre-flighting the jets, etc.” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton found that Pelosi “used military jets twice as much in two years as GOP Speaker Dennis Hastert did in three years.” But is that really anything to be proud of? Fitton recalled a Politico article about a supposed new ethics war when the GOP took control of the House. The article suggested the Democrats stopped GOP efforts to file ethics complaints because their own house was not clean, and ethic complaint would be matched with ethic complaint.

So, yet again, in spite of these egregious abuses by former Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the U.S. citizens will see no restitution because of the same old abuse of power by both parties. Judicial Watch is to be commended for its due diligence which unfortunately appears to be just another exercise in futility.

This day in history May 22
1807: Former Vice President Aaron Burr was indicted for treason. Although there was ample evidence against him he was not convicted. He and others plotted to forcibly take over the lands of the Louisiana Purchase to make slave states of what is today the heart of America.
