Salary of retired US Presidents (Bush I, Bush II, Carter, Clinton) …$180,000
Salary of House/Senate (435 house plus 100 members of Senate) $174,000 – total: $93 MILLION
Salary of Speaker of the House.. .$223,500 (Boehner)
Salary of Majority/Minority Leaders… $193,400 (Cantor, Pelosi)
and what’s the average salary of a Soldier deployed in IRAQ/AFGHANISTAN? -> $38,000
Here’s a great place to start making some “minor” cuts. The executive and legislative branches salary! Why in the hell are former Presidents making almost $200,000 a year? And why does it cost $93 million to pay Congress/Senate members?
