The Rand Corporation has released a study on the feasibility of an internal “security police force for the United States.”
That is certainly an ominous thought. It would take a substantial investment in men and materiel to keep the lid on the US if a current or future regime decided to do something seriously displeasing to the people. Now it appears someone has decided to see just what it would take to overcome the Second Amendment by force of arms.
That may not be illegal, but it should be.
