Video: EPA Regional Administrator Promises to 'Crucify' Oil Companies And Foes of Global Warming's Junk Science

April 25, 2012

NewsOk reports that Al Armendariz, a regional administrator for the Environmental Protection Agency, explained in 2010 that he understands the EPA policy to be to "crucify" a few oil and gas companies to get the rest of the industry to comply with the laws. Subsequently, Senator James Inhofe (R-OK) has now released this incredible video in which the Obama EPA official is caught on camera promising to "crucify" potential foes of the EPA who disagree with the agency's war on fossil fuel.

The Heritage Foundation offers this on the video:

A video surfaced on Wednesday showing a regional administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency comparing his agency's philosophy with respect to regulation of oil and gas companies to brutal tactics employed by the ancient Roman army to intimidate its foes into submission.

EPA's "philosophy of enforcement," said EPA's Region VI Administrator Al Armendariz, is "kind of like how the Romans used to conquer little villages in the Mediterranean: they'd go into little Turkish towns somewhere, they'd find the first five guys they'd run into, and they'd crucify them."

"That town was really easy to manage for the next few years," Armendariz added.

His comments are indicative of the "EPA's war on fossil fuels," claimed Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK) in a news release on Wednesday.

As Senator Inhofe also noted, "Armendariz's comments give us a rare glimpse of the Obama administration's true agenda."

And needless to say, that agenda runs completely counter to our economic and energy needs both now and in the future ... it also speaks volumes about what four more years of Obama will do to our country.
