Opensecrets.org is reporting that President Obama has just signed “a rollback of key transparency provisions of the STOCK Act.”
The Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge Act of 2012 was created in response to public outcry when it was revealed members of Congress were legally allowed to engage in insider trading.
Last week, the Senate stripped out the enforcement provisions of the Act and today President Obama quietly signed the rollback.
