“You can offer nutritious, healthy foods, but you can’t make kids eat them or like them.” That’s the conclusion school district officials in New York’s Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake have drawn and why they’re ditching Michelle Obama‘s lunch program beginning September 2013. As Kyle Olson from EAGnew.org reports, the officials point to “hungry, frustrated children plus lost income” as reasons for discarding the program.
