The White House’s supporters have been out in force on the US news networks spinning the line that President Obama has plenty of backing for his planned military action against Syria, both at home and abroad. Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Chair of the Democratic National Committee, appeared on CNN on Wednesday, putting a brave face on the international dimension, claiming "there are dozens of countries that are ready to stand behind the United States politically, diplomatically, and militarily." She declined to name who these countries were, bizarrely citing national security considerations – “I'm not comfortable sharing that on national television," as she put it to anchor Jake Tapper. In reality, away from the Twilight Zone world of liberal propaganda, only one country has pledged military support to Washington – France.
