Police: 3 women charged in beauty supply store smash and grab

(KMOV) – Investigators may have a possible break in a case involving several smash and grabs at area beauty supply stores.
St. Louis County Police arrested three suspected burglars with a similar motive.
Police say there’s a good chance the three women arrested may have good information on the area smash and grabs if they are not directly linked to the crimes.
Nu Fashion Beauty Supply on Bellefontaine Road in north St. Louis County is the latest in a string of ‘smash and grab’ style burglaries targeting hair weaves.
Investigators say Caneisha Jones, Cydney Brown and Allexus Fluker smashed the front window of the business with bricks and then made a mad dash for the fake hair pieces.
“They’ll steal in this case 3,000 worth of merchandise and they'll sell it on the street and get much more,” said Officer Casey Lambert with the St. Louis County Police Department.
The trio didn’t make any profit off this raid after witnesses immediately called police and officers caught the women moments later.
Now investigators are trying to determine what they know about other break-ins with the same MO.
“It’s very possible suspects like this break into one business they make money out of it and they see how easy it is without being caught and they’ll do multiple other businesses,” said Officer Lambert.
News 4 spoke to a man whose wife works at the targeted store. He said this incident has him and the customers concerned.
“They’ve asked a lot about what happened a lot have been upset they don't like to see things happen in their neighborhood like this,” he said.
All three women are facing burglary charges.
