Escaped immigrants lead authorities to Edinburg stash house

Authorities are investigating a human smuggling ring after discovering 37 illegal immigrants crammed into a stash house in Edinburg.
Edinburg police told Action 4 news two immigrants escaped from a stash house at 1321 North 14th Place on the city's northside on Friday morning.
The immigrants made it to a nearby Stripes convenience store where they flagged down two officers and told them they had been held against their will.
Border Patrol agents arrived at the home just before 10:30 a.m. Friday.
Investigators told Action 4 News that at least 37 illegal immigrants inside.
Border Patrol agents are questioning those inside the home.
