Democratic Agenda in Full Swing: Pathetic Pennsylvania excuse for newspaper provokes class division with article titled "Mapping wealth in Pennsylvania: Rich neighborhoods, poor neighborhoods"

03/24/2014

It is only appropriate that I out them for who they are. After pulling my post and banning me once again over my response to yesterday's agenda driven article over Conestoga Wood Specialties religious liberty to not cover birth control for it's employees being criticized by so called "women's health advocates". I hope you are truly proud of yourselves, commies!

Million-dollar home market makes a move
This file photo shows a home in Manheim Township featuring an in-ground pool resold for more than a million dollars.

We now know, thanks to the Higley 1000, that the exclusive Bent Creek neighborhood of Manheim Township ranks among with wealthiest neighborhoods in the United States.

It's right up there with Jupiter Island, where Tiger Woods has an estate with his own personal four-green golf course in Florida, and East Lake Shore Drive, where Oprah Winfrey recently sold her condo for almost $3 million in Chicago.
The gated Bent Creek community, built in the early 1990s around a country club and golf course off the Fruitville Pike, had a mean, or average, household income of $274,800 in 2010.
But we don't like averages that much. One ultra-wealthy household can skew the data.
We also noted that the data were from 2010, and wondered how Bent Creek compares to other Lancaster County neighborhoods now.
So we sought out some newer data from the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey, the statistical survey that samples a small percentage of the American population every year.
We drilled down to the block-group, or neighborhood, level for the five-year survey results released just this past December.
We mapped out the median household income levels for all block groups in Pennsylvania, and found a handful of six-figure neighborhoods in Lancaster County, not just Bent Creek.
For example: The block group that encompasses Marietta Avenue and part of School Lane Hills has a median household income of $110,302, the American Community Survey estimates show.
The neighborhood near the Lancaster County Club in Manheim Township has a median household income of $103,348. And another block group the encompasses Butter and Hunsecker roads in the suburb has a median household income of $126,591.
So what's the median household income in your neighborhood?
Find out on the map below.
Simply hover over a block group and the median household income will be displayed in the top right corner of your screen.
Use the magnifying glass near the top left corner to search for the location of a specific address.
