Mercedes “candyman” arrested for exposing himself to children
A storeowner is behind bars after he allegedly exposed himself to two little girls as they were buying candy and snacks from his home.
The incident happened Saturday, April 19th at his house where he reportedly sells snacks on east of FM 491 on Mile 11 and south on Tejas Boulevard to 12632 Tejas Boulevard in Mercedes.
According to documents, Cirilo Diaz pulled down his zipper and exposed himself to seven and eight year-old girls inside the store.
The girl’s mother told investigators that she took her daughters and nieces to the 64-year-old’s store to buy snacks.
One of the victim reportedly told investigators, “There was an old man that was showing his front part to us.”
Investigators said the girls came forward with the allegations when they were back home with their mother.
Authorities arrested the store owner on indecency with a child charges.
A bond of $20,000 was set for the 64-year-old man.
