Suspects connected to a Weslaco carjacking are behind bars.

A total of three people have been charged in connection to a gunpoint carjacking in Weslaco.

Police already had one suspect in custody, but now the final two suspects are facing charges.
Weslaco police said 17-year-old Sergio Barbosa was arrested last week.
This week Diana Reyes surrendered on Monday morning, and now Carlos Espinoza will be arraigned Tuesday evening.
All three of them charged with aggravated robbery for an armed carjacking.

Investigators said it all happened back on May 5th at a home on the 800 block of east Lincoln street in Weslaco.

Police said two men stole a woman's GMC truck at gunpoint, and then the two led police on a chase.
The chase ended at Mile 9 North and Mile 1 West when they crashed into a palm tree.
"We believe the pressure that was put on them by the  U.S. Marshals task force, the tremendous amount of time they put into this because of the severity of the crime had a lot to do with them surrendering,” a spokesperson for Weslaco police said.
Reyes was given a $500,000 bond, and the bond for Espinoza is currently pending.
