Immigration Update: Four Immigrants get prison time in four separate sexual abuse cases

Four Cameron County men are headed to prison after being sentenced in four separate sexual abuse cases.
The Cameron County District Attorney’s Offices reported that the four have been sentenced since last week:
• Salvador Maldonado, Brownsville, 41
• Eduardo Raya, Brownsville, 19
• Gilberto De Leon, Harlingen, 39
• Jose Luis Gonzalez, Harlingen, 46
Maldonado got 18 years in prison for aggravated sexual assault of a child for abusing a two children.
Raya also got sentenced to 18 years in prison for an aggravated sexual assault of a child case involving a 5-year-old child.
De Leon was sentenced to 20 years in prison for three counts of aggravated assault of a child involving a 7-year-old child.
Gonzalez was sentenced to 16 years in prison for aggravated sexual assault of a child involving two children over several years time.
Maldonado, Raya, De Leon and Gonzalez are all required to register as sex offenders for life.
