A Southmost mechanic is behind bars after being accused of raping a woman who went to his shop to get her car fixed.
Brownsville police arrested 29-year-old Ronald Fuentes on an aggravated sexual assault charge on Monday.
Investigators told Action 4 News the a 21-year-old woman came forward with the allegations on Saturday.
Police said Fuentes worked at a tire shop on Southmost Boulevard when the woman went to get her car worked on.
The woman told police that Fuentes later called her from a private number and asked her for a ride.
Investigators said the woman gave Fuentes a ride where he made unwanted sexual advances.
When the woman declined, Fuentes allegedly responded by punching her and raping her.
The woman told police that she saw a window of opportunity, escaped and called police.
Fuentes allegedly admitted to the crime and was given a $100,000 dollar bond.
