Anchor babies stole fajitas and brisket, endangered a child

Two women are behind bars accused of stealing meat then driving off with a 2-year-old child unrestrained.
The incident happened on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the H-E-B in San Benito.
Leanne Camacho and Annette Castillo allegedly took fajitas, brisket and hygiene products without paying for them.
Police responded to the store located on the 1000 block of West Business 77 in San Benito.
An officer spotted the car the two women were in and attempted to pull them over.
That’s when the driver speed up and ran a red light, according to San Benito Police.
Camacho pulled over and that’s when police found Castillo and her 2-ytear-old son unrestrained in the front seat of the car.
Castillo and Camacho were both arrest on theft and child endangerment charges.
They appeared before Municipal Court Judge David Garza in San Benito who set their bonds at $15,000 each.
Authorities contacted Child Protective Service (CPS) about the incident, and the 2-year-old was released to family members.
