Anchor Baby Update: Lifeguard accused of molesting two girls taking swimming lessons

A teenage lifeguard is out on bond after being accused of molesting two girls taking swimming lessons at a swimming pool in Edinburg.
Eddie Guadalupe Rodriguez turned himself in at the Edinburg Police Department on Tueseday.
Investigators told Action 4 News that the 17-year-old is accused of two counts of indecency with a child by contact.
The incident happened at the Municipal Swimming Pool off East Palm Drive located just behind the Edinburg Police Department.
Edinburg Police Lt. Oscar Treviño said a 9-year-old girl and an 8-year-old girls came forward with the sexual abuse allegations back on June 13th.
An investigation ended with police filing charges against Rodriguez for touching the girl inappropriately.
Lt. Treviño said Rodriguez surrendered at the Edinburg Police Department in the company of an attorney on Tuesday afternoon.  
Rodriguez was transferred to the Hidalgo County Jail where he was released after posting a personal recognizance bond.
City of Edinburg spokeswoman Irma Garza confirmed that Rodriguez worked as a part-time seasonal lifeguard at the swimming pool.
Garza said Rodriguez was fired immediately after the allegations were raised.
