A chase led Border Patrol agents to a truck filled with 23 undocumented immigrants.
It all happened near Pharr when a concerned citizen made a call after they reportedly saw people being taken into a gray truck.
Border Patrol agents spotted the truck driving northbound on Military Road in Pharr.
Agents attempted to conduct a stop on the vehicle, but the truck refused to stop, turning east on Las Milpas Road to Cage Road.
During the chase, the driver of the truck hit another vehicle, but continued to lead the chase onto east FM 907 Road.
Authorities said the driver suffered injuries to their right leg while the passenger suffered a neck sprain.
The chase continued going into Alamo while the people in the truck threw spikes at the BP agents’ vehicles, causing one of the units to have a flat tire.
Agents lost sight of the truck, but found it after the immigrants bailed out of the vehicle near Moore Road and FM 907.
According to authorities 23 undocumented immigrants were taken into custody.
It is not known if the smugglers are in custody at this time.
An investigation is ongoing at this time.
