A Mexican Mafia gang member wanted in a 2013 Alamo stabbing has been caught in Nampa, Idaho.
Police told Action 4 News that Roel Garcia is currently in custody at the Nampa Police Department after he allegedly robbed a liquor store Friday.
Garcia is expected to be extradited to San Juan in about two weeks to be charged for two aggravated robbery charges.
Authorities told Action 4 News that Garcia has been on the run since the September 2013 stabbing of a 19-year-old Daniel Perez.
Police reported that the 19-year-old was stabbed in the chest in an alleyway in Alamo.
Garcia will first be charged in Idaho for the liquor store robbery, then will be brought back to the Rio Grande Valley, for the murder and aggravated charges.
