Name That Party: Identities released of six accused in voter fraud case

Six women are facing multiple charges in connection to a voter fraud investigation headed by the Texas Attorney General’s Office.
Tomasa Chavez, Facunda Garcia, Bernice Garcia, Vicenta Verino, Sara Virginia Perales and Margarita Ozuna were booked into the Cameron County Jail on multiple charges.
The six arrested were booked into the Cameron County Jail on Wednesday, July 16th.
The arrests were made by the Attorney General’s Office.
The alleged voter fraud took place during the July 2012 Democratic primary runoff election in Cameron County, according to the elections department.
Charges including unlicensed assistance to voter, violations of method of returned market ballot, carrier envelope action by person other than the voter and the method of returning a marked ballot.
The Cameron County Elections Office provided information to the Texas AG’s office amid the voter fraud investigation.
The Texas Attorney General’s Office said they are working in conjunction with the FBI.
