Four jailed for selling pirate DVDs and CDs at flea market in Alton

Four people are facing criminal charges after being accused of selling pirate DVDs and CDs at a flea market in Alton.
Alton police booked four flea market vendors into the Hidalgo County Jail on labeling charges on Monday evening:
• Alejandro Perez
• San Juanita Perez
• Oscar Venegas
• Esteban Zuniga
Investigators told Action 4 News that the four were arrested at Ochoa's Flea Market off Mile 4 North and Conway Avenue.
Officials with both the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) were in the Rio Grande Valley this weekend.
Alton Police Chief Enrique Sotelo said police officers accompanied the RIAA and MPAA officials at the flea market.
Chief Sotelo that the four were found selling pirated movies and music.
The chief said a total of 55,000 pirated DVDs and CDs were seized in connection to the four arrests.
