A man is jailed on a charge of indecency with a child for allegedly touching a child’s private area.
Samuel Lopez is accused of touching the 4-year-old’s private area and scratching her leg.
Lopez allegedly touched the child inappropriately when he was supposed to be babysitting.
He told police the girl had fallen outside and had dust all over her body.
The 23-year-old allegedly said that’s how the girl got scratches near her private area.
The girl was transported to a local hospital where a sexual assault nurse examiner conducted an exam, which determined the child sustained "trauma".
Lopez was arrested in McAllen on the second degree felony charge.
He was arraigned just over a week ago in Hidalgo County.
Action 4 News does not identify victims of sexual abuse.
