ABC Poll: Corbett narrowing Wolf's lead!

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

A new poll shows Tom Corbett is closing in on Democratic challenger Tom Wolf in the final weeks before the November election, but the Republican governor still faces a seven-point gap.

The Magellan Strategies BR survey commissioned byKeystone Report shows Wolf leads Corbett 49-42 percent.

Wolf enjoyed a nine-point lead, 49-40, in a poll for Keystone Report last month and a 12-point lead, 50-38, in a September survey of likely voters.

Corbett made gains among Republican voters, while unfavorable numbers for Wolf climbed six percent from last month, according to the poll.

The telephone survey of 1,131 likely Pennsylvania voters was conducted Oct. 13-14 and has a margin of error of 2.9 percent.
