Cops link woman’s beheading, son’s death as possible murder-suicide

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. (PIX11) – Police are investigating a possible murder-suicide after a man reportedly jumped in front of a Long Island Rail Road train after brutally beheading a woman on Long Island Tuesday.
A woman in her 60s was found dead on Secatogue Avenue in Faramingdale, near the LIRR station, officials said.
Witnesses say she was the victim of the beheading. They told PIX11 News they originally believed it was a Halloween prank.
The person was found dead on the LIRR tracks just blocks away from where the woman was beheaded.

Nassau County police confirm the crime scene at Secatogue Avenue and that a man in his 30s was found dead on the LIRR tracks a short distance away.
Police say it is a possible suicide, but will not confirm the deaths are connected.
LIRR service has been restored overnight.
