"I will eventually make a statement," Reid said when reached by phone late Wednesday afternoon. "I'm in communication with the chief of police and hopefully we will come to an understanding about what happened."

Reid was arrested for obstruction of justice at a city gas station at 15th and State streets at 11:30 p.m. She declined to go public with her account of events Wednesday. And Reid said she isn't sure when she will openly explain her side of the story.

Reid was released shortly after her arrest, PennLive learned from Joyce Davis, spokeswoman for Mayor Eric Papenfuse. Davis said she had no further information to share about the incident.

This story will be updated when more details become available.

Harrisburg City Council President Wanda Williams and Councilwoman Susan Brown-Wilson could not immediately be reached for comment.
