Meat given to the church by the government to provide for the needy

ST. THOMAS TOWNSHIP, Pa. —Pennsylvania State Police in Chambersburg are investigating the theft of close to 800 pounds of hamburger meat from St. Thomas United Church of Christ.


Investigators say the thieves made forced entry into a storage shed directly beside the church on St. Thomas Edenville Road in St.Thomas Township, Franklin County.
According to police, the thieves removed approximately 800 pounds of hamburger meat from freezers inside the shed, then left the scene.
Officials say the meat taken, was provided by the government to the church to provide for the needy.
