McAllen police have released dashcam video from 13th Court Justice of Appeals Nora Longoria’s traffic stop that led to her DWI arrest.
The video is evidence Hidalgo County DA Rene Guerra said they never got.
Police said the footage is crucial evidence that could have been used to prosecute Longoria.
The dash cam video shows Longoria performing a field sobriety test.
The footage shows she struggled to walk a straight line, and even stumbled several times during the test.
The copy of the stop has no audio, but police say in another version Longoria can be heard pleading with the McAllen police officer.
According to a police report, she allegedly told him "Please let me go home. I live a couple of miles away” and "You are going to ruin my life.
Longoria failed the sobriety test, but refused to give a blood sample or submit to a breathalyzer.
The case went to court November 20th, but the charges were dropped.
DA Rene Guerra told Action 4 News that prosecutors decided the case was not strong enough to take to court.
Guerra said they didn't have the dashcam video and there wasn't sufficient evidence.
McAllen police said they don't know why prosecutors didn't have it.
Calls were made Longoria’s office for a comment, but calls were not returned.
