WASHINGTON – There will be 320.09 million people in the United States on Jan. 1, 2015, 0.73 percent more than the previous year which saw the population grow by 2.33 million people, the Census Bureau said Monday.
This figure represents a 3.67 percent increase since Apr. 1, 2010, according to the bureau.
The Census Bureau estimated that the world population will be at 7.2 billion on Jan. 1, 2015 which is a 1.08 percent increase over the last year.
In January 2015, there will be one birth every eight seconds in the U.S. and a death every 12.
According to projections, international immigration will add one person to the U.S. population every 33 seconds.
The combination of births, deaths and international immigration will increase the U.S. population by one person every 16 seconds.
In January 2015, the world will witness 4.3 births and 1.8 deaths every second.
