[Watch] Reps Gohmert, Salmon – Conservatives Completely Excluded From Process By Traitor John Boehner

12/16/2014

Congressmen Matt Salmon (R-AZ) and Louie Gohmert (R-TX) describe their experience in the period of time leading up to the vote to fund the Obama/ Johnson illegal amnesty as well as obamacare, in spite of the overwhelming opposition of the American people.

The conservatives in the House were never consulted throughout the process. Gohmert points out how the Omnibus contains money for abortion, money for the EPA to do harm to states like theirs. There’s all kinds of money in there for things we don’t support.” Rep Gohmert notes that “Some of us have gone to our leadership and said, look, we can do this very easily, let’s do it together with conservatives.

That’s the bulk of our conference. Don’t make them take a wrong vote. Let’s fund everything for two months, let us have a vote on defunding Obama’s amnesty and we’ll even agree that the Senate can take it out if they take the hard road to do that and then let it go from there to the ‘president.’ We were willing to work with them, to compromise and not one word, as you know.”

He continues, “The calls went to the White House when in a time that the Speaker needed votes, he turned to somebody that he really identified with, the ‘president’ and liberal Democrats and got them to help him pass this vote.”

Congress Salmon points out that fighting amnesty tooth and nail, as Boehner recently promised to do, does not involve surrendering without a fight. He notes that in approximately three weeks the new Congress will take an oath to defend the Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic. He labels what the actions of Congressmen who swore that same oath in voting to fund a violation of the Constitution as an abdication of our duty.

Asked if he thinks this outcome will impact Boehner’s position as Speaker of the House, Gohmert say it may help him; he’ll pick up a lot of Democrat votes.
