Taylor Swift’s Instagram and Twitter Accounts Hacked (Nudes Elude)

1/28/2015

LOS ANGELES – Singer Taylor Swift’s Instagram and Twitter accounts were hacked for the purpose of selling photos of the artist in which she supposedly appears nude.

The tweets posted on Twitter in Swift’s name referred to the @lizzard account and the user name @veriuser, two names associated with a group of hackers known as the Lizard Squad, according to the celeb gossip and entertainment Web site TMZ.

Both accounts were blocked by Twitter minutes after the incident and the messages were eliminated.

Swift’s Instagram account was hacked soon afterwards and those responsible said they had nude photos of Swift and were willing to sell them for Bitcoin virtual money, The Verge said online, but minutes later the singer’s page was back to normal.

“Twitter is deleting the hacker tweets and locking my account until they can figure out how this happened and get me new passwords. Never a dull moment,” Swift wrote on her blog on the Tumblr network.

The songstress, after recovering control of her pages on the social networks, sent a message to the hackers.

“Any hackers saying they have ‘nudes’? Psssh you’d love that wouldn’t you! Have fun photoshopping cause you got NOTHING,” the artist said on Twitter.

Taylor Swift has more than 51 million followers on Twitter, a number surpassed only by singers Katy Perry, who has 64 million, and Justin Bieber with 59 million, as well as by U.S. President Barack Obama, who has 53 million and more than 20 million on Instagram.
