FBI Apprehends 29 Year Old Iraqi Refugee Who Planned to Join Isis Arrested at Michigan Airport

Iraqi Al-Hamzah Mohammad Jawad who moved to Lansing Michigan in 2013 planned to join Isis and kill in the name of Islam, but the FBI found him first in Michigan.

Chilling details are coming out about the 29-year-old Al-Hamzah Mohammad Jawad arrested as he tried to fly out of Detroit Metropolitan Airport in Romulus. News Video
At first he told agents he was going to visit his mother, but later he admitted he had lied to the FBI and he actually intended to join Isis. 

The 29-year-old Jawad came to the U.S. in 2013 as a refugee, has a green card and bought a one-way ticket to Iraq and said he intended to join Isis to kill in the Jihad.
Tuesday he left his East Lansing apartment planning to fly out of Detroit to Amman, Jordan. As he boarded the jet, FBI agents questioned Jawad. 

"Jawad said had been recruited by his childhood friend Saad Asham and planned to join, train and fight with Isis. 

He said he was promised a uniform and weapons. The FBI locked Jawad up in a US Marshal's jail cell in Detroit, charged with lying to a federal agent. But are there other's leaving here to join the jihad.
 He also told the FBI that he had been working out and going to a gun range to prepare, according to the complaint.


"What worries you is what you don't know," Arena said. "Though some good work or through some luck, they got this guy. Who else is out there, that's the question."
Meanwhile after the arrest at Metro Airport, federal investigators are now combing through Al Hamzah Mohammad Jawad's apartment, his computers and phones to discover his contacts and connections.
 He has been charged with making a false statement to a federal official, according to the Detroit Free Press. Jawad is expected in court on Friday.
