Yet another border fail...
An Edinburg man is behind bars after being accused of raping a girl while she was spending the night at a sleepover.
Jose Luis Hernandez surrendered to Edinburg police on Tuesday.
The 39-year-old man is facing an aggravated sexual assault of a child charge.
Investigators told Action 4 News that the incident happened back in October when a young girl was at a sleepover.
Edinburg police said Hernandez is accused of sexually assaulting the girl at the home.
Hernandez allegedly had access to the girl through the family hosting the sleepover.
An investigation ended with an arrest warrant being issued for Hernandez.
Detectives advised him about the warrant and Hernandez agreed to surrender to police on Tuesday.
Hernandez remains in custody at the Hidalgo County Jail under a $30,000 dollar bond.
