A woman is out on bond after she allegedly harbored two runaways, and took them Mexico along with her own son.
Christina Garcia Cervantes posted bail Tuesday, April 1st after she reportedly lied to police about the two underage runaways.
Hidalgo County Investigators responded to a call on the 1200 block of E. 1st Street in La Villa where they showed pictures of the two minors.
The 37-year-old reportedly told authorities she did not know them or have any information on their whereabouts.
A few days later, Cervantes went to the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office and allegedly admitted she took the two minors and her son into Mexico.
A judge set the woman’s bond at $14,000 for harboring runaways, enticing a child and theft charges.
