Fourth immigrant arrested in shooting of officer



A fourth man has been arrested after authorities led a manhunt for the wanted man.
Edinburg police told Action 4 News that they arrested Benarbe Lee de la Paz on the 400 block of West Dove in McAllen.
Police said de la Paz was hiding at the residence.
No further details on de la Paz’s arrest are available at this time.
Three other arrests have been made by police in connection to the shooting of an Edinburg officer.
The officer responded to a call on a disturbance Thursday night.
The suspects allegedly shot the officer in his legs, and then fled the scene.
Police said the three that are already behind bars are facing aggravated robbery, attempted capital murder and tampering with evidence charges.
