A man is behind bars on a charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child younger than 6-years-old.
Gilberto Silva, 49, is accused of inappropriately touching the girl when she was younger than 6-years-old.
According to a criminal complaint, the alleged crime happened in Pharr.
Silva was arrested and transported to the Hidalgo County Jail where he was booked on June 24th.
His bond was set at $50,000 for the aggravated sexual assault charge.
According to documents, the Pharr Police Department investigated the case.
Action 4 News does not identify victims of sexual assault.
