Immigration Update: Affidavit claims Anchor Baby Suspect yells “I hope it hurts!” when assaulting officer

A man is behind bars after he allegedly fled from sheriff’s deputies before assaulting a peace officer.
Authorities attempted to pull over Marvin Barron, but he fled when a deputy exited his patrol vehicle, according to a probable cause affidavit.
The incident happened in San Benito on Highway 281 around 1:04 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9th.
Barron fled at a high rate of speed, an affidavit reveals.
A deputy was able to locate Barron on the intersection of Las Cipres Road and Leal Road in San Benito after the car he was driving had a tire blowout.
Barron was arrested for evading arrest using a motor vehicle.
That’s when he kicked a the patrol unit door open hitting a deputy while yelling “Here b----! Hope it hurts!”, according to court documents.
He was also booked at the Cameron County Jail on a charge of assault on a peace officer for kicking the patrol unit door open, which caused pain to the deputy’s leg.
