Two men and a woman are facing criminal charges after an undercover sting allegedly revealed that they sold alcohol to an undercover minor.
Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) agents and undercover minors fanned out across Hidalgo County over the weekend.
TABC targeted 18 business for the random undercover operation.
The sting operation ended with TABC agents arresting three people for selling alcohol to a minor:
• Almendra Bernal, 18

• Thomas Gregory Villanueva, 28
Investigators said Bernal sold a 25-ounce Bud Light to an undercover minor at the El Cazador Drive-Thru at 1924 N. Val Verde Rd in Edinburg.
Muñiz is accused of selling a bottle of wine to an undercover minor at Dollar General store at 3000 W. Mile 3 Road in Mission.
Villanueva is accused of selling a 25-ounce Bud Light to an undercover minor at Leo's Drive In #4 off Highway 83 in Mission.
Records show that TABC agents also charged Villanueva with possession of marijuana.
