A Brownsville man will spend the next five years in prison after he owned an iPod with 33 images of child porn.
The Cameron County District Attorney’s Office told Action 4 that a coworker of Xavier Barac Lopez found his iPod.
According to the DA’s office, at least 33 images of child porn in the iPod labeled “Xavier”.
The images showed children, younger than the age of 18, engage in sexual behavior.
State District Judge Ronaldo Olvera sentenced the 23-year-old man to five years in prison.
Lopez was charged and found guilty in November on 33 counts of child pornography, all third degree felonies.
“Children cannot willingly consent to such behavior, and its short- and long-term effects consist of scarring a child for life,” District Attorney Luis V. Saenz said.
