“Dirty text messages” leads to church singing teacher’s arrest
A Palmview singing teacher is jailed after he allegedly sent dirty text messages and touched an 11-year-old inappropriately.
Palmview police arrested Jesus Eduardo Bustos Rodriguez for indecency with a child.
Police told Action 4 News that the 11-year-old victim’s mother found text messages where Bustos was asking sexual questions about the victim.
According to police, the 48-year-old was a singing teacher at a local church.
That’s where Bustos set up at a rental location behind Hernandez Barns.
The 11-year-old girl made an outcry to the Child Advocacy Center after her mother reported the incident with police.
Border Patrol arrested Bustos since he is in the United States illegally.
Police believe there may be more victims, but they have not come forward at this time.
Bustos was charged with indecency with a child.
His bond was set at $80,000.
