Clashes in Lebanon while Kerry blackmails Bashar al-Assad

MAY 24, 2013

While at least four persons have been killed and about 35 others were wounded in the recent clashes in the Lebanese city of Tripoli, which is located in the northern part of the country, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said in his latest statement that the U.S. administration will increase its support for the opponents of the Syrian government if the Syrian President al-Assad is not prepared to discuss a political solution in order to end the civil war within Syria.

This means that the United States might increase its support for religious fanatics, terrorists, mercenaries and strangers in Syria if the Syrian government in Damascus is not willing to debate a so-called political solution for the Syrian conflict. Although many reports from the recent months have confirmed that the Syrian government is ready and willing to discuss such a solution for the crisis in the country.

Obama prom pictures surface

MAY 24, 2013

More than 30 years after he graduated high school, President Obama's senior prom pictures have emerged in public, featuring the president when he was 17 years old, clad in a white sport coat and a lei, posing for pictures with his friends.

The photos, obtained by TIME, show Mr. Obama, then a student at Punahou School in Hawaii, hanging out with his date Megan Hughes, his friend Greg Orme, and Orme's date Kelli Allman (then McCormack), according to Allman, who provided the photos to TIME.

"It was a really fun, happy time. We were all cracking up, and everyone was smiling," Allman told TIME. "It was pretty typical from there out as far as what happens at prom: the dinner and the dancing and the photos."

Allman also provided to TIME a photo of Mr. Obama's signature in her 1979 yearbook, in which the now-president complimented Allman as "sweet and foxy," and offered to buy her lunch.

Rep. John Barrow Introduces Keeping the Promise of IRCA Act

MAY 24, 2013

Rep. John Barrow (D-Ga.) has introduced the Keeping the Promise of IRCA Act. The bill would fulfill the border security promises, workplace verification promises, and interior enforcement promises that were never fulfilled by the 1986 amnesty bill. The bill serves as an alternative to the Gang of Eight's amnesty bill, S.744, and is a response to public opinion that's been evident in poll after poll that the border needs to be secured before dealing with other aspects of immigration reform.

These are quotes from the Internal Revenue Service officials who testified this week before the House and Senate. That is the authentic sound of stonewalling, and from the kind of people who run Washington in the modern age—smooth, highly credentialed and unaccountable. They're surrounded by legal and employment protections, they know how to parse a careful response, they know how to blur the essential point of a question in a blizzard of unconnected factoids. They came across as people arrogant enough to target Americans for abuse and harassment and think they'd get away with it.

So what did we learn the past week, and what are the essentials to keep in mind?

WTF?!?! HOMELAND SECURITY TEACHING KIDS TO GO TO FEMA CAMPS IN A TIME OF CRISIS!!!!

May 24, 2013

Public schools in cooperation with the department of homeland security are now teaching kids safety measures, and advising that they seek relief in FEMA camps in a time of crisis. But are these post disaster relief camps, or military internment camps?

FEMA , the Red Cross, and the department of homeland security are now using taxpayer money to educate children in public schools about ‘getting ready for disaster’. But why would government agencies hold interest in this? Is it because they want schools to be safer, or because they want citizens to flee to FEMA camps in a time of crisis?

A disaster that very well could be orchestrated by a government agency, one might add. So what are these ‘disaster relief’ camps like? A quick google search for ‘FEMA camps’ would turn up thousands of results. Yet contrary to what one may think, leaving these camps may not be voluntary.

In fact, a leaked document signed by Joyce E. Morrow (administrative assistant to the secretary of the army) suggests that disaster relief camps may actually be military internment camps. The document is titled ‘internment and resettlement operations’ , and it describes these camps in great detail, stating that ‘civil support is the department of defense support to civil authorities for domestic emergencies. Civil support includes operations that address the consequences of natural or man-made disasters, accidents, terrorist attacks, and incidents in the U.S.’ .

To sum it up, this leaked document confirms plans by the department of defense to operate internment prison camps for citizens during a crisis . But why would they need a crisis to imprison large amounts of people, and why would they imprison large amounts of people in the first place? But the real question is, do these prison camps tie in with FEMA?

And if so, is FEMA preparing children in public schools to accept going to an internment camp if there is a disaster? Perhaps the military internment camps to be used for disasters, and the FEMA camps to be used in times of crisis, are unrelated. But given the recent NDAA , allowing for the legal indefinite detainment of American citizens, and the political weather, it seems this isn’t such a far out possibility. It isn’t a nice issue to think about, but spreading the word about the possibility of an American holocaust would be arguably the most effective way to stop such an event.

Now The Gibson Guitar Raids Make Sense

MAY 24, 2013

IRS Scandal: The inexplicable raid nearly two years ago on a guitar maker for using allegedly illegal wood that its competitors also used was another targeting by this administration of its political enemies.

On Aug. 24, 2011, federal agents executed four search warrants on Gibson Guitar Corp. facilities in Nashville and Memphis, Tenn., and seized several pallets of wood, electronic files and guitars. One of the top makers of acoustic and electric guitars, including the iconic Les Paul introduced in 1952, Gibson was accused of using wood illegally obtained in violation of the century-old Lacey Act, which outlaws trafficking in flora and fauna the harvesting of which had broken foreign laws.

In one raid, the feds hauled away ebony fingerboards, alleging they violated Madagascar law. Gibson responded by obtaining the sworn word of the African island's government that no law had been broken.

In another raid, the feds found materials imported from India, claiming they too moved across the globe in violation of Indian law. Gibson's response was that the feds had simply misinterpreted Indian law.

Interestingly, one of Gibson's leading competitors is C.F. Martin & Co. According to C.F. Martin's catalog, several of their guitars contain "East Indian Rosewood," which is the exact same wood in at least 10 of Gibson's guitars. So why were they not also raided and their inventory of foreign wood seized?

Grossly underreported at the time was the fact that Gibson's chief executive, Henry Juszkiewicz, contributed to Republican politicians. Recent donations have included $2,000 to Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., and $1,500 to Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn.

By contrast, Chris Martin IV, the Martin & Co. CEO, is a long-time Democratic supporter, with $35,400 in contributions to Democratic candidates and the Democratic National Committee over the past couple of election cycles.

"We feel that Gibson was inappropriately targeted," Juszkiewicz said at the time, adding the matter "could have been addressed with a simple contact (from) a caring human being representing the government. Instead, the government used violent and hostile means."

That includes what Gibson described as "two hostile raids on its factories by agents carrying weapons and attired in SWAT gear where employees were forced out of the premises, production was shut down, goods were seized as contraband and threats were made that would have forced the business to close."

Gibson, fearing a bankrupting legal battle, settled and agreed to pay a $300,000 penalty to the U.S. Government. It also agreed to make a "community service payment" of $50,000 to the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation — to be used on research projects or tree-conservation activities.

MAY 23, 2013

Residents of St. Louis County met in front of the IRS offices on May 21, 2013 to protest the IRS' practice of targeting and harassing conservatives, patriots and Tea Party supporters. There were no city or county police there, ONLY DEPT OF HOMELAND SECURITY POLICE. According to the IG report, the IRS began targeting conservative organizations, especially Tea Party groups, in Feb. 2010, (although there is much evidence that they have been targeting conservative groups and Christian groups since the 1980's.) The IRS agents were directed to target organizations with the words "patriot" or "tea party" in the names. The power to tax is the power to destroy. This is what it is like to live in a police state tyranny. It has become evident that they are planning on using the IRS as their Gestapo.

That argument flies in the face of common sense and common experience in bureaucratic stagnation.

Immigration Reform Should Strengthen, Not Cost, America

May 22, 2013

Lawful immigration can bring important economic and cultural benefits both to the United States and to the immigrants. Americans rightly live and celebrate the values of America, including limited government, personal liberty, and free enterprise, and beckon others to join us. We are united by belief in our founding documents and our creed that all men are created equal. As Ronald Reagan said, “The immigrants who have so enriched America include people from every race, creed, and ethnic background.”

While we welcome those who want to come here, we are a nation of laws and the rule of law requires fair, firm, and consistent enforcement. Immigration is no exception and in fact is critically important, because newcomers need to see the principle in action from their first day in America. Those who enter legally by our slow and bureaucratic system need to be rewarded, not left wondering whether they should have entered or stayed illegally and waited for amnesty.

In addressing immigration, our government should start with keeping the promises they made when they granted amnesty “for only this one time” in 1986. First, they must secure the border. Then they should enforce our laws by imposing stiff fines on those who hire illegal immigrants. These steps are supported by supermajorities of the American people.

After that, Congress should move to fix our slow, broken lawful immigration system. Individual bills addressing these specific problems step-by-step are good for the country because they are simple, clear, and transparent. They make it possible to get legislative victories where we can agree and make it hard to hide loopholes or sweetheart deals for special interests. They can build trust that government is working for the people.

Unfortunately, Congress is moving ahead with a huge, complex, and comprehensive bill that will include amnesty for those who have broken our immigration laws. And in a time of massive and increasing debt, we know that the bill will end up costing taxpayers trillions of dollars. After a short time, millions of illegal immigrants will have access to the full panoply of bloated means-tested welfare programs and qualify for overburdened entitlement programs like Social Security and Medicare.

Instead, Congress should proceed step-by-step: border security, then workplace enforcement, and then fixing our broken legal immigration system. These steps will fulfill past promises and benefit America economically while not adding the unnecessary fiscal costs of amnesty.

CBS News Mocks Benghazi Whistleblower

May 22, 2013

CBS News has a piece quietly mocking a Benghazi whistleblower for writing poetry in a classic example of how the MSM marginalizes opponents of Barack Obama:

Raymond Maxwell, who was one of Hillary Clinton’s State Department officials who was disciplined for security lapses vis-à-vis Benghazi, has been writing poetry since he was put on leave.

Significantly, some of the poetry deals with Maxwell’s frustration at being made a scapegoat:

Obama administration mistakes journalism for espionage

May 22, 2013

The Obama administration has no business rummaging through journalists’ phone records, perusing their e-mails and tracking their movements in an attempt to keep them from gathering news. This heavy-handed business isn’t chilling, it’s just plain cold.

It also may well be unconstitutional. In my reading, the First Amendment prohibition against “abridging the freedom . . . of the press”..........

Obama Speaks at the "All-Black", Non-Post-Racial Morehouse

May 22, 2013

Barack Obama proved again that he harbors deep-seated bitterness by focusing on skin color instead of the content of character. Worse than that, the president had the audacity to tie Dr. King to community organizer/Rules for Radicals author Saul Alinsky when he talked about how at Morehouse MLK was introduced to "the writings of Gandhi and Thoreau, and the theory of civil disobedience."

From the land of Totalitarianism: Death in Zimbabwe results in unusual US charge

May 21, 2013

From a political standpoint, if Robert Mugabe had a son, would he look like Barack Obama? Maybe this'll help sort it out.....

This image released by U.S. District Court in Alexandria, Va.,
shows the damage to the car that allegedly hit and killed
Alois Pedzisai Matyoramhinga in Zimbawbe. Unusual circumstances
have left federal prosecutors pursuing vandalism charges against
Andrew Pastirik, a U.S. government worker accused of killing the
Zimbabwe man in a drunken driving collision. Much of the case against
Pastirik is shrouded in secrecy at a federal courthouse in northern
Virginia. Court documents show the only charge filed against Pastirik
in the 2008 death is one of "malicious mischief," or vandalism, for
wrecking a U.S. government-owned Toyota Land Cruiser he was driving.
(AP Photo/Department of Justice)
The facts laid out by prosecutors are plain: In 2008, a U.S. government employee on assignment in Zimbabwe drove through the capital of Harare in his government-issued Toyota Land Cruiser and struck and killed a 34-year-old Zimbabwe man.

Five years later, the driver, Andrew Pastirik of Woodbridge, is facing criminal charges in the U.S. Pastirik denies being drunk, but he does not dispute that he struck the man, Alois Pedzisai Matyoramhinga.

Yet the indictment against Pastirik mentions Matyoramhinga only in passing and Pastirik is not charged with murder or manslaughter, or even drunken driving. Rather, he is charged with vandalism -- or "malicious mischief" as it is called in the criminal code -- for causing more than $1,000 in damage to the Toyota Land Cruiser.

If convicted, he could face up to 10 years in prison.

Legal arguments are under way to determine whether Matyoramhinga's death can even be mentioned to a jury when his trial begins July 29.

Much of the case is shrouded in secrecy. Prosecutors, Pastirik's lawyer and Pastirik himself, who worked in the State Department's Diplomatic Security Service but is not currently employed there, won't comment.

Pretrial hearings were held behind closed doors "for national security reasons" under a law more typically used for terrorism and espionage cases. And court records don't say exactly why the case was brought nearly five years after the death, though in one filing, prosecutors attribute part of the delay to research on whether more severe charges could be brought.

The charge prosecutors ultimately settled on is an unusual one.

Michael Scharf, a law professor with Case Western Reserve University specializing in international law, said prosecutors are playing the hand that's been dealt to them.

"Although we do have a law on the books that allows the U.S. government to prosecute U.S. citizens who commit murder abroad, that does not apply to vehicular manslaughter. So the best the U.S. can do is charge the individual with destroying U.S. government property," Scharf said.

While the case is technically about the damage to the Land Cruiser, prosecutors argue they should be allowed to tell the jury that the damage occurred when Pastirik struck and killed Matyoramhinga.

"That the defendant, while intoxicated, struck a pedestrian with such force as to discharge bodily fluids onto the car, misremembered the location where the collision occurred, and offered conflicting explanations as to these events all tend to show that the defendant acted knowingly or carelessly in disregard of law," prosecutors Pragna Soni and Andrew Peterson wrote.

Pastirik's lawyer, meanwhile, argues Matyoramhinga is irrelevant to the case and should not even be mentioned in a vandalism case.

Allowing "evidence of the (death) injects a level of moral culpability that will confuse, agitate and confound the jury into thinking they are asked to decide whether the defendant took life, rather than destroyed a vehicle," wrote defense lawyer Joseph McCarthy.

Photos in the court file show Matyoramhinga's body lying face down in a field, his shoes knocked clear from his body.

The defense lawyer argues the damage to the government car was an unfortunate accident on a dark road, when Pastirik swerved to avoid an oncoming car. He says it lacks the willfulness necessary to prove vandalism.

The government said after Pastirik first reported the accident to a security officer at the U.S. embassy in Harare, he repeated, "This is bad" over and over. Pastirik told the security officer he knew it was bad because he had hit pedestrians before, when stationed in Afghanistan as an officer with the State Department's Diplomatic Security Service, which provides protection to ambassadors and other diplomats. In defense motions, Pastirik disputed he said that and disputed that he struck pedestrians in Afghanistan.

Court records said in the Zimbabwe death, Pastirik was drinking at Marine House where the Marines who guard the embassy in Zimbabwe are stationed. A Marine Corps spokeswoman said Pastirik was not a Marine.

Zimbabwe's ambassador to the United States, Machivenyika Mapuranga, said he hadn't heard of the case until he was contacted by an Associated Press reporter. He said he assumed Pastirik's case was properly handled in Zimbabwe, but added that if the U.S. asserted diplomatic immunity on Pastirik's behalf, Zimbabwe would not have been able to put him on trial for Matyoramhinga's death.

He said he understands the rationale for putting Pastirik on trial in the U.S. for vandalism.

"It's within their right to do so," he said of the U.S. government.

State Department spokeswoman Laura Seal declined to comment on whether the U.S. asserted diplomatic immunity on Pastirik's behalf.

While governments can claim immunity on behalf of their diplomats, they can also waive a diplomat's immunity.

In a high-profile case, the U.S. pressured the government of Georgia to waive immunity for diplomat Gueorgui Makharadze, who in 1997 slammed his Ford Taurus at high speed into a line of cars stopped for a traffic light in Washington, killing a 16-year-old Maryland girl. He was convicted of involuntary manslaughter and aggravated assault and spent more than three years in a U.S. prison before being returned to Georgia to serve the remainder of his sentence.

Dr. Like Kermit Gosnell:New Stunning Photos, Testimony Show Texas Abortionist Kills Babies Born Alive

May 20, 2013

With the conviction of Kermit Gosnell for murdering babies born alive after botched abortions, the spotlight turns to other abortionists performing late-term abortions and accused by former workers of killing babies after they are born alive.

Operation Rescue and Life Dynamics have released videos, witness accounts and photos, of Texas abortionist Douglas Karpen, showing practices similar and as gruesome as those Gosnell was convicted of.

The informants also say they witnessed Karpen routinely kill babies
after they were born by puncturing the soft spot or impaling the stomach
with a sharp instrument, twisting the head off, or puncturing the
throat with his finger.

Everson: Illegal Immigrant rapist gets prison for impregnating girl, making her get abortion

May 20, 2013

EVERSON - An Everson man who impregnated a preteen girl and forced her to have an abortion must serve a six-year prison sentence, then leave the country.

Luis Gonzalez-Jose, 31, raped the girl at a home in rural Whatcom County while her mother was in the shower, according to charging documents filed in Whatcom County Superior Court.

He brought the girl to a Planned Parenthood clinic in August 2012. She told staff members that her 14-year-old boyfriend impregnated her, but she couldn't give the boy's name or address.

Six weeks after the abortion, the girl told a detective how she had really become pregnant. Gonzalez-Jose had insisted "it would be best for her" to not have the baby, according to the documents.

Gonzalez-Jose pleaded guilty to second-degree rape of a child in April. The girl's family refused to cooperate with prosecutors, according to a Department of Corrections report.

The department evaluator agreed with the plea bargain, recommending a sentence of six years and eight months in prison, but only on the condition that Gonzalez-Jose can never return to the United States afterward. Otherwise, the report stated, a longer sentence would be appropriate.

Superior Court Judge Charles Snyder approved the plea deal this week.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement will ensure that Gonzalez-Jose is deported upon his release. For now, he's locked up at the Washington Corrections Center in Shelton.

Obama Denies Role in Government

MAY 20, 2013

WASHINGTON — President Obama used his weekly radio address on Saturday to reassure the American people that he has “played no role whatsoever” in the U.S. government over the past four years.

“Right now, many of you are angry at the government, and no one is angrier than I am,” he said. “Quite frankly, I am glad that I have had no involvement in such an organization.”

The ADHD scam that exposes a lack of science within the psychiatric industry

(NaturalNews) The diagnosis of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a total scam designed by the psychiatric profession in order to sell the need for "treatment" and drugs. DIY Firearms Makers Are Already Replicating And Remixing The 3D-Printed Gun (Photos)

May 19, 2013

A photo of a 3D-printed Liberator pistol posted on Twitter by the New Hampshire group the Free State Project.

Just a week after the release of blueprints for the world’s first fully 3D-printable gun, the firearm known as the Liberator is already reproducing–and evolving.

Photos floating around Twitter and sent to me by readers show the DIY weapon created by the high-tech gunsmithing group Defense Distributed beginning to fulfill its promise: To allow anyone to create a handgun at home with an Internet connection and a 3D printer, potentially circumventing all gun control laws. And the State Department’s legal move late last week to remove those blueprints from Defense Distributed’s website, Defcad.org, may have only made the group’s fans more eager to print their own plastic gun in defiance of the government’s takedown.

A version of the gun printed by Maryland software engineer Travis Lerol
with a printed barrel. He says he's also experimenting with metal-reinforced
and epoxy-cast barrels as well as different calibers of ammunition.
Travis Lerol, a 30-year-old former military software engineer in Glen Burnie, Maryland, printed his Liberator (shown at right) within days of its appearing online. Unlike the original printed gun, he says he’s altered his to have a rifled barrel, a move designed to avoid the National Firearms Act, which regulates improvised and altered weapons and has a provision covering “smooth-bored” pistols. He’s also built another version of the barrel for .22 ammunition that uses a metal insert for reinforcement, instead of the entirely-plastic barrel for .380 rounds used in Defense Distributed’s original. And he’s cast versions of the Liberator’s barrel in epoxy that take .380 and .45 ammunition, a design he argues will be more durable than the pure ABS plastic Defense Distributed tested.

“When the Liberator came out, I was pretty curious and also surprised that the barrel hadn’t exploded when they fired it,” says Lerol. “I want to progress it from the entry level it’s at now to something more advanced, and then put that information back up to share.”

A Liberator printed on a $1,725 Lulzbot 3D printer.

Another DIY gunsmith and engineer, who asked that I call him only “Joe” to protect his anonymity, printed his version of the Liberator (shown at right) over the last weekend on a $1,725 Lulzbot AO-101, a 3D-printer that costs a small fraction of the industrial Stratasys Dimension SST printer that Defense Distributed bought for $8,000 secondhand and used to create its prototype. Joe, who also rifled and extended the gun’s barrel, added metal hardware to hold his gun together rather than the plastic printed pins in the original.

He hasn’t tested his more affordable version of the weapon yet, but he says he’s confident it can fire a .380 round just as well as the gun Defense Distributed printed on its higher-end printer. “I’m an avid gunsmith, and I’m about one hundred percent sure it’s going to work,” he says.

And why print his own gun? Partly defiance of the State Department’s attempt to suppress the gun’s blueprint and partly “just for the hell of it,” he says. “I’m a big believer that information should be free. You can’t ban things outright just because they scare some people,” he says. “Also, it’s a neat concept that hasn’t been done before, and I have the perfect skills to make it happen.”

By all appearances, the State Department’s efforts to take the CAD file for the Liberator offline for possible export control violations have done more to generate interest in the printable gun than to prevent its spread. In just the two days before the government’s takedown letter to Defense Distributed, the gun was downloaded more than 100,000 times. It’s also been uploaded at least a dozen times to the Pirate Bay, and more than four thousand users are now making the file available on their computers for download via bittorrent, compared with just a handful early last week.

The Liberator printed on a Stratasys 3D printer
by Michael Guslick.
Downloading the gun’s blueprints has become a kind of “Streisand effect” says Michael Guslick, a hobbyist gunsmith and one of the first engineers to write about his experiments in printing and testing 3D-printable firearm components. Guslick printed his own Liberator using a printer similar to Defense Distributed’s (shown above) and has been searching for others who have printed the gun over the last week.

He says he’s found that only a small fraction of those who download the gun’s blueprints are actually putting them to use. But he compares the weapon’s CAD file to the encryption program PGP, the first strong cryptographic software available to non-government users, which like the Liberator became the target of a State Department investigation for export control violations after it was released online in 1993. “ A lot of people downloaded [PGP's] source code, but very few compiled it,” says Guslick. “It became an act of passive rebellion.”

By the time the State Department decided not to indict PGP’s creator Philip Zimmermann, three years later, his tool had already spread around the world and helped to inspire a cypherpunk movement that created everything from WikiLeaks to Bitcoin. If the backlash against the Liberator’s takedown follows a similar path, the evolution of the 3D-printed gun may be just beginning.
