Incredible video has surfaced after a news crew from local Fox station KTXL was attacked and beaten in Natomas, California on Sunday. The crew included a male reporter and a female videographer. Both were repeatedly struck, with the woman being pulled to the ground by her hair and kicked in the face. They were trying to cover reaction to a recent murder.
The first video is a first-person perspective, showing video taken by the female attack victim working for Fox 40 in Sacramento:

eds Gave $669.6 Mil. to WI Public Schools — More Than 20 Times What Proposed State Cuts Would Save
(CNSNews.com) - The federal government gave $669.6 million to the public schools in Wisconsin in fiscal 2008, according to the Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). That is more than 20 times as much as the $30 million that Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is trying to save in the current fiscal year by asking state employees, including teachers, to pay for a fraction of the cost of their own pension packages and health-insurance premium. Because of this federal subsidy, taxpayers in the 49 other states make a handsome contribution to the salary and benefits packages of Wisconsin...
The Tea Party is winning
...Washington is acting as if the only real problem the United States confronts is the budget deficit; the only test of leadership is whether the president is willing to make big cuts in programs that protect the elderly; and the largest threat to our prosperity comes from public employees. Take five more steps back and you realize how successful the Tea Party has been. No matter how much liberals may poke fun at them, Tea Party partisans can claim victory in fundamentally altering the country's dialogue.
Mexican Immigrants In Custody After Toddler Found Alone In Dormont (PA)
DORMONT, Pa. -- Two Mexican immigrants are in custody after police said they found the couple's 2-year-old son alone in their Dormont apartment. Police have charged Raul Cruz-Romero, 24, and Yolando Pablo-Segundo, 19, with endangering the welfare of a child. The child was found Sunday at about 8 a.m. after neighbors reported the boy's constant crying, police said. "We found a 2-year-old Hispanic male child inside the apartment shaking, sobbing and crying hysterically," said Sgt. James Burke. Burke said a rescue crew entered the second-story apartment through a window because the front door was locked. He said the place was...
Largest Medicare Fraud Case Nets 114 Offenders
In one of the largest healthcare fraud cases, the U.S. government last Thursday charged 114 doctors, nurses and other defendants with Medicare crime schemes that exceeded $225 million in false billings. The charges in the latest of a series of cases were announced by Attorney General Eric Holder and Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius. In fact critics warned that the 45 million elderly and disabled Americans who are enrolled in taxpayer-funded Medicare plans are subject to this fraud.
State workers to rally for pensions, pay (Oklahoma)
Hundreds of state employees are expected at the Oklahoma Capitol to urge lawmakers to retain their pension benefits and implement a total compensation package that would include better salaries. Although Monday, President's Day, is a state holiday, the state House of Representatives and the Oklahoma Senate will be in session. Legislative leaders say reforming state pension systems is a top priority this year because of their collective $16.5 billion unfunded liability. But state workers want their pension benefits to remain as they are, according to officials at the Oklahoma Public Employees Association, which represents about 10,000 of the state's 36,000...
Internal Instructions on how to copy/cut/paste, perjury & fraud upon the court
We are in receipt of a document from an anonymous source (Anonymous.pdf), which we are attaching here just the way we received it (the handwriting and highlighting on it were already there). It purports to be instructions for paralegals as to how to create affidavits for filing so that the signatures could be mixed and matched at will. For example, it instructs them to make sure the page break is right before the signature, so that any signature page can be used on any affidavit. Although, the anonymous document did not disclose which law firm it came from, we were...

Protesting Teachers Could Reap $6 Million from Taxpayers to Attend Rallies
[Madison, Wisc...] As Milwaukee Public School teachers left their classrooms to march in Madison Friday, they likely earned more than $3 million to not teach students in Wisconsin’s largest school district. In Madison, the school district was closed for three days after hundreds of teachers engaged in a mass sick-out so they could attend protest rallies at the State Capitol. That could cost the district $2.7 million. Late Sunday night Madison Metropolitan School District administration announced their schools would be shut down yet one more day, at a possible cost of more than $900,000. Many of absent teachers converged on the Capitol to protest...
Globalrev, the First Amendment and, the Switch
Have you heard the term Globalrev yet? You may want to acclimate yourself with the term because, it seems like every time I look up, there’s another country in the throes of making some equality for those on the bottom. Personally, I thought it was going to start with one of the P.I.I.G.S. countries (I had my money on Greece). Instead it fired off in the middle east and, it’s spreading like a wildfire. It’s exactly like I’ve been saying for years;“You can only keep your foot on a people’s neck for so long before they feel vindicated in coming...
GOVERNOR WALKER EXEMPLIFIES THE COURAGE THAT OBAMA LACKS
Courage is the stuff that leaders are made of. Abraham Lincoln had it. Winston Churchill had it. Ronald Reagan’s “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!” rebuke of communism was more than a speech read from a teleprompter. Reagan’s words were accompanied by courageous actions. Courage is an attribute of most succesful people. It’s an attribute that Barrack Obama lacks. Leadership is ultimately about getting things done. A crisis or monumental event is often required before we learn the true mettle of a leader. Such was the case with Lincoln during the Civil War, or Churchill as Britain faced the onslaught...
Fire, Police Unions Fight for Bonuses
But on Wednesday the heads of the police and firefighter unions stood shoulder-to-shoulder on the steps of City Hall united against Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who they both called a "liar." What brought the rivals together? Money. For the past month, Mr. Bloomberg has renewed a call to eliminate a $12,000-a-year pension supplement for about 60,000 retired police officers and firefighters that the mayor has repeatedly called "Christmas bonuses." Mr. Bloomberg said the city is "now kicking in more than $600 million a year to subsidize it" at a time when they're trying to close a $2 to $4 billion budget...
Japanese troops train at Camp Pendleton for island defense
Japanese troops from the Western Area Infantry Regiment are assaulting the green hills of Camp Pendleton in operation Iron Fist. For a month, about 200 Japanese troops are training with Marines -- leading to a “final exam” where together they will launch a mock amphibious assault against a common enemy. .... Japan’s latest defense policy calls for a new concept, called “dynamic proactive defense,” said Akihisa Nagashima, lower house member of the Democratic Party of Japan and former parliamentary vice minister of defense. Japanese troops, he said, will need to be “mobile, flexible and ready to respond quickly” -- the...
Anti-Semitism flares in Greece
Athens —Nearly 70 years later, Athens, one of the last European capitals to commemorate those who perished at the hands of Nazi forces, finally has a Holocaust memorial. But since its dedication in May, synagogues have been targeted, Jewish cemeteries desecrated, Holocaust monuments elsewhere in Greece vandalized and the Jewish Museum of Greece, in the capital, defaced with swastikas. What's more, an alarming chunk of Athenians in November supported the election of a neo-Nazi candidate to the capital's city council.
Nearly 3,000 Palestinians rally against U.S. veto on settlement resolution
Nearly 3,000 Palestinians demonstrated Sunday in the West Bank city of Ramallah to protest at the United States veto of a United Nations resolution condemning Israeli settlements in the West Bank, Palestinian media reported. Some of the demonstrators chanted "Get Out, Obama!" in the Al Manara main square of the city. Their protests were backed by members of Fatah, the party of the Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas. (Snip) The U.S. voted Friday against a resolution at the United Nations Security Council which condemned Israeli settlements, describing them as illegal, and called on Israel to stop all building activities in the
British family is shrinking as 60 per cent of parents say we can't afford a second child
Almost two thirds of parents who have one child say they are too poor to have a second. The crippling cost of bringing up youngsters means the average size of a British family is ‘shrinking’, a report claimed yesterday. It found the average bill for raising a child from birth until the age of 21 is around £270,000. Some 64 per cent of those with two children say they cannot afford to have a third.
Unemployment Rate Has Become a Bad Joke
NEW YORK (CNBC) -- The national unemployment rate is becoming an increasingly meaningless statistic when it comes to painting a true picture of economic and job growth. While the December drop from 9.4 percent to 9.0 percent might have looked nice on paper, digging through the real numbers shows the actual jobs picture hasn't improved at all. In fact, the situation is at best stagnating, despite headline numbers that make it appear things are getting better. At the heart of the unemployment rate deception are the nearly three million Americans counted as "marginally attached" to the labor force. Those folks would...
UAW named in sexual harassment lawsuit
The United Auto Workers union has been named in a sexual harassment lawsuit filed by a female Chrysler worker. The suit comes as the UAW attempts to organize at least one transplant automaker. UAW Local 51 member Janet Burney claims she was fired after she ended her relationship with Pat Byers, the son of UAW official. Byers’ father, John Byers, was a top-ranking UAW official, having held the office of co-director of the UAW-Chrysler National Training Center as recently as 2010.
Newspaper: BBC program deceptive
London's Sunday Mirror newspaper says a BBC series called "The Real Hustle" is deceptive because it hires actors to play the victims of con artists. The newspaper said the reality show claims it isn't staged, but that its investigation allegedly found that some people taking part in the program are actors and are paid for their time.
A strategy for defeating Obama in 2012
It is nothing short of a certainty that in order to get Barack Obama reelected, the Democrats will resort to their tried and true tactic of playing the race card. The fact that America's first black president elicited a greater percentage of the white vote than any Democratic presidential candidate in quite some time is neither here nor there: the Democrats have been using "the R word" against their opponents for so long that they have become like Pavlov's dogs with respect to it. For as difficult as it may be for many of us to believe it, there are...
Stand Up, Wisconsin! (Astrophysicist: Blockade 8 GOP Senators in Their Homes so Dems Can Win Vote)
Human barricades are one of the most effective form of civil disobedience that ordinary citizens have at their disposal. And 10,000 people is certainly a large enough force to barricade one State Senator into their place of residence. Barricade eight State Senators into their homes, have the minority party return, and vote on that bill. With 25 people there, you'll have quorum to vote, but with 8 members of the majority party not in attendance, the minority party should be able to defeat the bill, 14-11.
China Raises Fuel Prices After Crude Oil Climbs Above $100
China, Asia’s biggest oil consumer, increased retail gasoline and diesel prices for the first time this year, aiding state refiners under pressure from $100 crude. Shares in China Petroleum & Chemical Corp., the nation’s biggest refiner, climbed 1.4 percent in Shanghai. The company’s Hong Kong-listed shares dropped 2.3 percent as analysts said the increase in government-controlled prices won’t be enough to offset refining losses. “The price hike will offset some of the cost pressure on state refiners,” Yin Xiaodong, chief oil analyst at Citic Securities Co., said by telephone from Beijing. “The government should increase fuel prices by 500 yuan...
The True Clinton Legacy
In less than one week the radical Left and liberal media will attempt to rewrite history and deliver a major victory to the Anti-American progressives. Next Monday, MSNBC will lead their charge by airing an outrageous documentary built upon LIES to recreate and resurrect Bill Clinton, the most corrupt and dangerous president of our lifetime. [snip] The only way we America-loving conservatives can save our country and win the critical battles is to directly counter the liberal media. We cannot sit idly by and allow the media to rewrite history. If we don’t respond the anti-American agenda will win! We...
School 'cop' sex shocker--Safety agents: It was hop-in-sack or get sacked
Hormones are raging among the NYPD's school safety agents. The Police Department's School Safety Division is a raunchy, sexually charged environment where some female agents regularly engage in down-and-dirty noontime affairs with bosses inside department vehicles -- and then boast about their sleazy shenanigans to co-workers, according to a federal complaint. The bawdy behavior between a number of the female school-safety agents and their horndog male bosses at the unit's Long Island City, Queens, headquarters -- including the midday sex romps on city time -- has allegedly led to the women being provided an array of special benefits and privileges....
STATE OF THE STATEHOUSE: A powerful opponent takes aim at gun bill(IN)
Reporting from the Indiana Statehouse can sometimes be tedious business, with all the procedural maneuvering and political intrigue. It’s hard to navigate your way through all the rhetoric to determine what’s real. So many of the pieces of legislation come with a sales job — the spin that bill supporters put on a bill to slide it through. So it’s interesting to see what happens when the spin slides off course. Case in point: The “pre-emption” gun bill that sailed through the state Senate this past week, spun as a simple piece of legislation that would clean up what supporters...
Obama's 2012 Budget Gimmicks
President Obama's Fiscal Year 2012 federal budget is an example of shoddy math and non-transparent government at work. The 2012 Federal Budget fiscal shell game is as curious for what items are included as for what Team Obama chose to exclude. The FY12 Budget, on page 129, discusses the Administration’s admirable intent to crack down on businesses that are delinquent in paying taxes. This is a good idea. Team Obama then "proposes a suite of legislative and administrative debt collection reforms that will yield more than $5 billion of additional collections over the next 10 years from individuals and businesses...
Mark Steyn on Team Obama's Outmoded, Polytechnic, Marxist Claptrap
HH: I begin this hour with Columnist To the World, Mark Steyn. You can read all of Mark’s epic amount of work at www.steynonline.com. Mark, as you look out at what’s going on in Bahrain and Libya, how far is this going to travel, and what is your general assessment of good, bad or indifferent for the United States? MS: Well, I think it depends obviously on the willingness of the regime to kill people in order to stay in power. In the case of Egypt, which was an unlovely regime, it was what you might call unlovely in an...
Impeachable Offenses? Has Obama Crossed the Line?
And so it begins. As Islamist insurrections erupt across the world, President Obama incites a battle at home between producers and parasites that his union supporters parallel with the struggle of the Egyptian people. Interjecting himself into the sovereign matters of state governments Obama moved to directly violate the expressed will of the Wisconsin People by actively mobilizing his political organization to affect contractual relationships between the state and its employees, and supporting the shut down of the Wisconsin state government - a direct violation of his oath of office. Ignited by Wisconsin Governor Scott WalkerÂ’s proposal to limit public...
Principled Leadership Necessary for American Exceptionalism
At critical times through our nation’s history, principled and courageous men have stood up and lead our country towards greatness. Our Founding Fathers declared their independence from Britain and created our Constitution – the greatest governing document we have ever seen. From those early leaders to Ronald Reagan, who most recently advanced freedom in our nation, great men have, at critical times, emerged to save America, “the last great hope of mankind.” Most, if not all, Americans realize our country is today at a crossroads. We are faced with an ever growing and more powerful central government, rapidly increasing debt...
Hillary Slams Settlements—Again
As if UN ambassador Susan Rice’s tongue-lashing of Israel at the Security Council on Friday wasn’t enough, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton also had some choice words in an interview to ABC’s Christiane Amanpour shortly before the Security Council vote. “I think it is absolutely clear to say,” Clinton enunciated, number one, that it’s been American policy for many years that settlements were illegitimate and it is the continuing goal and highest priority of the Obama administration to keep working toward a two-state solution with both Israelis and Palestinians. “Illegitimate” is supposed to be just short of “illegal” while still...
The enforcement of gun laws(PA)
Hoping to position itself as the voice of reason in the middle is a nationwide coalition of more than 550 mayors, including Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl and 184 others in Pennsylvania. Mayors Against Illegal Guns, a group founded in 2006 by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, has called for better federal funding and improved coordination between agencies to make enforcement of gun laws a possibility. However, gun lobby groups and pro-gun lawmakers contend the mayors' group has a more sinister agenda. They say the mayors place the burden of tracking illegal guns on law-abiding...
Putin Putting Russia's Fate in Iranian Hands?
Rather than the January 24th suicide bombing at Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport (that claimed 36 lives and wounded almost 200) giving rise to a soul searching by Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, it has sadly given rise to hypocrisy on his part. Moscow’s investigation into the attack is still ongoing. But earlier this month, in a very chilling video, Doku Umarov—the self-styled emir of the Causasus Emirate—claimed responsibility for it.Threatening further attacks, Umarov said, "With Allah's grace, we will make this year for you a year of blood and tears."
Gov. Cuomo speech drowned out with Charles Barron-led yells of 'Tax the Rich!'
Gov. Cuomo's speech on Sunday night to the Association of Black and Puerto Rican Legislators was interrupted with chants of "Tax the rich!" led by City Councilman Charles Barron. Cuomo received a warm welcome as he began to address the group, but within moments Barron (D-Brooklyn) did a Kanye West and stole the spotlight. "Shame on you," Barron yelled at Cuomo after walking from the back of the Albany Convention Center to the front. "Stop the cuts," Barron said.
Any Excuse
Since 1989, JPFO has stood for the complete and utter abolition of “gun control”. Any form of firearms owner registry is an invitation to burgeoning tyranny, and even a police state takeover. You simply cannot argue with this premise. In the last one hundred years, every major genocide (which is mass murder by a government, or government backed faction, upon its own citizenry) has been preceded by gun registration and gun confiscation. Read about "Innocents Betrayed". Disarm the masses and then slaughter them. An age-old horror tale … even before firearms. American gun owners’ most basic right, the right to...
Pictures of Wisconsin Pro-Union Rallies
These are the same people who screeched that they were the "civil" ones. These types of people are the ones who blamed the Right for Jared Loughner. These are the people who compared Bush to Hitler then wailed and whined when Obama had the same thing done to him, screaming, "That NEVER happened to Bush!"What I'm trying to say is that these people are hypocritical morons. Enjoy the pictures:
Sarah Palin Makes a Splash on Long Island
She was relaxed, but spunky. She was real. She was armed with stats. She was unapologetic about her convictions. She was tough on President Obama’s agenda. She was fed up with the status quo. She was “sick and tired of the games that are being played in Washington, D.C., because we’re talking about our money, we’re talking about our kids’ future, we’re talking about our republic and the solvency of our republic.” She was willing to laugh at herself. She was confident about her experience.

Muslim Cleric Plans White House Protest in Attempt to Spread Sharia Law in America
Anjem Choudary, who once said “the flag of Islam will fly over the White House,” says he will lead a demonstration rallying Muslims to establish Sharia law across the United States. Choudary, 43, called Americans “the biggest criminals in the world today” during an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity this month. Choudary, who is the former leader of the outlawed British-based group Islam4UK, says the March rally at the White House is being organized by the extremist group Islamic...
NYPD saves 2 West Point cadets in mountaintop rescue
Heroic NYPD cops battled ferocious winds and sub-freezing temperatures as one was lowered from a hovering helicopter onto a mountaintop cliff early today to rescue two near-dead West Point cadets who’d gotten stranded in the dead of night after wandering away from their unit during a training exercise. The amazing death-defying rescue took place about 2:30 a.m. atop Storm King Mountain several miles north of the United States Military Academy at a time temperatures had plunged to 18 degrees and winds were gusting as high as 50 mph. Aviation Unit Officer Steve Browning and Detective Mike Sileo, pilot and co-pilot...
GOP Candidate Wins Lousiana Senate Special Election, Shifting Majority
ABBEVILLE, La. -- Unofficial election returns show that Republican Jonathan Perry has narrowly defeated Democrat Nathan Granger in the race to fill a vacant state Senate seat, possibly giving the GOP control of the Senate. The Louisiana Secretary of State reported on its website Saturday night that Perry received 52 percent of the vote to 48 percent for Granger, with all 106 precincts reporting. Election officials said the results still must be certified and they can be contested until Feb. 28. Granger told The Associated Press that he left phone and text messages with Perry offering his congratulations. "The message...
Black History Month, a Race Hustler's Paradise
White America still owes us is the misguided mantra foisted on Blacks for decades that is upsetting to Lloyd Marcus, an un-hyphenated American of African descent, who decries what Black History month has become in our nation. He says it’s the special time of the year when race hustlers pitch many new guilt trip entitlement programs on us and our politicians, because Marcus says the hustlers still are stuck back in the 1950′s angst of systematic abuse. Not true today he says. “Throughout American history, white folks, mostly Christians, suffered, sacrificed and died to help set blacks free and move...
At Least 12,000 Jobs to Be Lost if Walker's Plan Does Not Pass
The selfishness of the Wisconsin public unions has truly come full-circle. For all of their talk about protecting workers, it appears that their intransigence will hurt many of Wisconsin's employees. This, of course, comes out of the budget deficit that Governor Walker inherited from the Democratic governor that preceded him. And without reform-- there will be a disaster. So when shills of the unions scream about such 'unreasonable' ideas as paying for part of their own pensions and health insurance or that union members should have a say if the organization exists, answer back with this. So a teacher can...
Obama accused of 'double standards' as family go skiing after telling Americans to sacrifice
President Obama has been accused of having double standards after appealing for Americans to sacrifice their holidays just days before his wife and children went on a costly skiing trip. First Lady Michelle Obama and daughters Malia and Sasha are said to be on a 'private family trip' to Colorado for Presidents' Day Weekend... Although the Obamas will pay for a portion of the skiing trip, taxpayers will still shoulder many of the...
Chessboard VII: War on the Southern Border
We have now raised the threat level of Mexico and the Southern Border. The threat from our Southern Border is greater now than the Afghanistan/Pakistan conflict. The inactions by our government are treasonous. Our leadership in Washington, DC continues on a rudderless course when it comes to National Security. We need leaders that understand current threats and vulnerabilities and place them in charge immediately. It is now time to enforce the rule-of-law and the protection of Americans and our country. No more excuses…no more delays…no more politics., no more kowtowing to special interest groups, or claims by open-border believers and....
Indialantic man passionate about debunking political myths (Black TEA Party Patriot)
This is a well balanced piece on a man who had his eyes opened. Frantz Kebreau is a former Naval aviator, commercial pilot, and former democrat. He is also a patriot who happens to be black. It is a good read, well balanced and fairly presented. Franz promotes a 'color blind' society using history to open the minds and inform the misinformed.
China rounds up 100 activists to rapidly quash pro-democracy 'Jasmine Revolution'
Chinese authorities moved quickly and with force to quash a pro-democracy 'Jasmine Revolution', believed to have been inspired by the recent uprisings in the Middle East and North Africa. More police than usual were scrambled to line the streets today, and there were a number of activists detained after online sites had organised staged protests in Beijing, Shanghai and 11 other major cities. Citizens were urged to shout: 'We want food, we want work, we want housing, we want fairness' - a slogan that highlights common complaints among ordinary Chinese.
Both sides targeting state senators for recall elections
It's been said that state Democrats and labor unions are trying to reverse the results of the November 2010 elections. Actually, it's the outcome of a handful of 2008 races that political liberals and conservatives are now working to undo. Several sources confirmed that Wisconsin Democrats and labor leaders are plotting recall elections for several Republican senators as soon as lawmakers push through Gov. Scott Walker's budget plan to curb collective bargaining rights and require public employees to chip in part of their salary toward their health care and pension costs. "Those are options people are looking at," said Marty...
City pulls plug on police legal bills (Cop Union Sues... Police Brutality Suits Breaking the city)
LAWRENCE — Mayor William Lantigua says he will no longer pay legal bills for police officers being sued, including the bills for those officers involved in nine brutality cases pending in U.S. District Court. The mayor says over the past three years, the city has spent $1.2 million to defend officers in civil cases. Instead, Lantigua says he will hold to the police unions' contract, which says the city only has to pay the $5,000 retainer for a patrolman and $7,500 for a superior officer. Lantigua says officers have two options when they are being sued — to use one...
British gay Muslims seek Islamic weddings
British gay Muslims are joining the global fight for equality and seeking gay Islamic marriage. The BBC's 5 live Investigates speaks to one couple about their 'nikah' - a Muslim matrimonial contract - and asks how they balance their sexuality with the Islamic faith. "We met about three years ago, at an iftar - a breaking of fast during Ramadan. "I think a lot of Muslims find that time of year very spiritual and very enlightening, and so I think that's why our relationship developed, because we spoke about our faith." "Eventually we went on a date."
Why You Need To Own America's Last Honest Currency, Now
Why You Need To Own America's Last Honest Currency, Now Robert WenzelFeburary 18, 2011 I have been writing about the great investment opportunity in nickels for some time. Nickels are an inflation hedge. Nickels are a deflation hedge. And you can buy them at a discount to their metal value. What's not to like? Gary Gibson does a great job of explaining the dynamics of the nickel: Every single circulating nickel still has 3.75 grams worth of copper each…along with 1.25 grams of nickel. Copper is currently about $4.46/lb. Nickel is currently about $12.97/lb. So if you do the math,...
Sprawl in the family : Polygamist has 94 children and 39 wives!
For the Ziona family, every day feels like a family reunion. The massive clan from Mizoram, India, is the world's largest family -- and they got together recently to pose for a picture that shows how they give new meaning to the term "Big Love." The family is headed by patriarch Ziona, a Christian polygamist with 39 wives, 94 children, 14 daughters-in-law and more than 40 grandkids. That's 181 family members. "Today I feel like God's special child," said, Ziona, 67. "He's given me so many people to look after. I consider myself a lucky man to be the husband...
Middle East domino effect reaches China
"I'm quite scared because they took away my phone. I just put down some white flowers, what's wrong with that?" Mr Liu said. "I'm just a normal citizen and I just want peace." In Shanghai and Hangzhou a heavy police presence was also reported by online users, however there were no reports of protests in other cities where people were urged to gather, such as Tianjin, Wuhan and Chengdu. Despite the ineffectual nature of the call to protest, analysts said the swift reaction of the forces of control that underpin China's one-party state, demonstrated that the government in Beijing is...
Retiring Boomers Find 401(k) Plans Fall Short
The 401(k) generation is beginning to retire, and it isn't a pretty sight. The retirement savings plans that many baby boomers thought would see them through old age are falling short in many cases. The median household headed by a person aged 60 to 62 with a 401(k) account has less than one-quarter of what is needed in that account to maintain its standard of living in retirement, according to data compiled by the Federal Reserve and analyzed by the Center for Retirement Research at Boston College for The Wall Street Journal. Even counting Social Security and any pensions or...
Why do I call them Eco Nazis? Because they are Eco Nazis!
You’ll note from that “whoulda thunk?” that I am not altogether surprised by the Nazi connections with the green movement and AGW theory. That’s because, during my research for Watermelons, I discovered how intimately they were bound. The Nazi obsession with “Blut und Boden” (”Blood and Soil”) and the quest for Lebensraum did not die with Hitler in his bunker in 1945: in only slightly changed form they continue to permeate green ideology ...
How Much Does the U.S. Government Waste Yearly? $125 Billion
Each year, the federal government squanders an astonishing amount of your tax dollars on payments that are just plain wrong, including Social Security checks to the dead or incarcerated, free lunches to schoolchildren who don't qualify and unemployment benefits to the employed. In 2010, improper payments in federal programs totaled $125 billion. That's more than six times the total budget for NASA. "It absolutely is one of the big costs'' to the nation's taxpayers, said U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla. "The most egregious [example] is paying out these fraudulent claims.''
Video: Far left loons on twitter issue death threats against Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker
Don’t you love these same hippies who always flash their “peace” signs, or have NOH8 shirts, avatars, or whatever? Yes, these same left wing extremists are now issuing death threats via twitter at Scott Walker. He has undoubtedly received plenty by phone and e-mail too, but here is a video of some that are now documented for the entire public to see over a “social network.” This comes on the heals of yesterday’s revelation of doctors issuing fake “sick notes” to teachers and other union thug workers and a union thug getting arrested for physically assaulting a tea party member....
Obama Quicker Denouncing Gov. Walker than Mubarak

The US Economy Is A Complete Horror
Jeff Gundlach of DoubleLine (via Zero Hedge) has put together the sort of presentation that isn't likely to elicit Christmas cheer in readers. It details the depths of the crisis the U.S. economy is truly facing, including its massive debt problem, the declining value of its currency, the unemployment crisis, and the housing crisis. Bah humbug. It's a great review of everything that is going very wrong in the U.S. right now and certainly a worthy dose of realism to combat all those bullish views on U.S. growth of late. Government Worker Unions: The Long Good-bye (...and good riddance!)
The "Madison Uprising" is the beginning of the end of the incestuous relationship between government and the unions. That fact has been recognized by the public sector unions and the Democratic Party and is why they have pulled out all the stops and reverted to their 1960's playbook in order to maintain the status quo. However, it is a battle that the unions and the Democratic Party will lose regardless of the immediate outcome in Wisconsin. The Democratic Party has sold its soul to the public sector unions. In the 2010 mid-term election, the American Federation of State, County and...
Muslim group eyes camp (in Luzerne NY; wonder how many of these are in the U.S.)
LAKE LUZERNE -- One of North America's largest Muslim organizations wants to build a summer camp in the Adirondacks on 114 acres it recently acquired. The Islamic Circle of North America, a Muslim advocacy group based in New York City, hopes to raise money to develop a camp for children and families of all religions on land donated to it last year, Muhammad Rahman, ICNA's secretary general, said in an interview Thursday.snip a doctor named Sayeeda Tahera Jafar transferred the deed on the 114.4-acre property to the ICNA last week. Word about the donation started moving around this North Country...
The Illinois Pension Nightmare ($3.7 Billion needed to pay for just one year!)
The state of Illinois hopes to issue $3.7 billion in bonds, next week. The funds will be used to pay this year's pension payments. Writes NYT, which is starting to get the picture of the serious problems in the muni market:
When Jihad Johnny’s Up, He’s Up Like an Animal. Militant “Muslims” gang-rape journalist
The difference between the typical militant "Muslim" and Bernard Cornwell's villain Obadiah Hakeswill--a liar, thief, rapist, and murderer who also uses his authority to get innocent soldiers flogged--consists solely of the fact that Hakeswill is a fictional character. Hakeswill, upon seeing the beautiful blonde Sally Clayton nursing her baby, gets "up like an animal" and threatens to have her husband punished if she won't do what he wants. He later rapes her and then kills her, carries another woman off to rape, and shoots Sharpe's wife because she fought back when he tried to rape her. A group of militant...
Report: School Board Blew Hundreds of Millions of Taxpayers Dollars While In Lobbyists' Pocket
Well, it's finally official. The Broward County School Board wasted hundreds of millions of your dollars while doing the bidding of a select group of contractors and lobbyists. You've been reading about that here for the past five years. Now the statewide grand jury has found the same thing. The final grand jury report was released last night (yes, that means they aren't going to issue indictments). To get an idea of its tone, understand that it stated flatly that were it not for a constitutional mandate to have a school board "our first and foremost recommendation would have been...
The Obama Reich exposed?
Here’s some frightening stuff — especially for us conservative Facebook junkies — that would make Joseph Goebbels jump for joy. Examiner.com is reporting that the US Government — you know, the criminals we employ to do little things like “establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare and secure the blessings of liberty,” are engaged in a propaganda mission against their subjects (that would be you and me, boys and girls!).
Coffee prices hit 14-year high
Coffee prices hit a 14-year high this week, and it's only a matter of time before java lovers will have to pay more in stores and coffee shops. Coffee futures have doubled in the last year, closing at $2.46 per pound on Thursday. That's the highest price since May 1997, when coffee was trading at $3.20 per pound. "It is sad but true that higher coffee prices will be passed off to the consumer," said Hector Galvan, a senior trader at RJO Futures. "Some imagine this just as inflation, but it is a combination of the growing demand for different...
In Md., felt boots blamed for invasive 'rock snot'
MONKTON, Md. (AP) -- As an algae with a gross nickname invades pristine trout streams across the U.S., Maryland is about to become the first state to enforce a ban on a type of footgear the organism uses to hitchhike from stream to stream: felt-soled fishing boots. The state Department of Natural Resources plans to prohibit wading with felt soles starting March 21 to curb the spread of invasive organisms that can get trapped in the damp fibers and carried from one body of water to another. Similar bans will take effect April 1 in Vermont and next year in...
For the Children: Three Words That Are Destroying America
There is probably nothing in our society that has done more harm to America than the phrase: “For the Children.” In these days of terminal political correctness, nobody wants to be seen or characterized as being against the children. There is always somebody who comes along with some pet project for which he needs public funding. And it is always for the children.
Poll: Should Doctors Handing out Fake Notes in Wisc. lose their Licenses?
Since it broke yesterday, this story has been igniting the internet and blogosphere. Multiple doctors have been reportedly handing out phony "doctor's notes" in order to prolong and enliven union rallies in Wisconsin. While unethical and underhanded by itself, these fake notes also break several "rules," as pointed out by this physician: Is it really his position that he is conducting medical examinations in the midst of thousands of people while attaining a right to privacy? One of the most important things in a genuine patient/physician interaction is honesty and this [man] is dishonest! The question is, what should happen to...
DR's Ghost Is Smiling on Wisconsin's Governor
Somewhere, Franklin Delano Roosevelt is grinning past his cigarette holder at Wisconsin's governor. They are on the same page regarding government unions. Except that Scott Walker -- Republican cheapskate, his visage Hitlerized on signs waved by beet-faced union crowds besieging the Capitol -- is kind of a liberal squish compared to FDR. He's OK with some collective bargaining. Walker, you might have heard, wants some changes in how Wisconsin deals with unions. He wants state employees to pay 5.8% of their salaries toward their pensions (they pay almost nothing now) and he wants them to cover 12.6% of their health...
Could the Kingdom of Bahrain Become an Iranian Pearl Harbor?
The headquarters of the U.S. Fifth Fleet is in Bahrain. Iran does not need to employ its air force against the U.S. naval facility, but only to topple the pro-American regime of the al-Khalifa family and replace it with a new Bahraini regime backed by the Shi’a majority which seeks the immediate withdrawal of the fleet. Even more worrisome for the U.S. is the fact that the Shi’a protest could easily expand to the neighboring eastern Saudi shore of Al-Ahsaa where most of the population is also Shi'a.
"Massive Collapse" For Merkel Following Today's Hamburg Election (Germans say NO more bailouts!)
As the results of the first of seven German regional elections hits the wire, the German people are heard loud and clear: "no more bail outs." The outcome of the Hamburg election is nothing short of a disaster for Angela Merkel and her ruling (for now) CDU party. Bloomberg reports that "Chancellor Angela Merkel’s party lost control of Hamburg, Germany’s richest state, in the first of seven state votes this year that threaten to limit her scope to respond to Europe’s debt crisis, television projections show." Merkel’s Christian Democratic Union took 20.8 percent in today’s election, its worst result in...
The One-Man Political Machine (Trump backs Emanuel)
Many of his biggest contributors live outside Chicago. He received large checks from New York (the financiers Roger Altman, Ronald Perelman and Donald Trump each gave $50,000); Silicon Valley ($50,000 from Steve Jobs); and especially Southern California, where Emanuel’s brother, Ari, a powerful Hollywood agent, raised money on his behalf. David Geffen gave $100,000, Steven Spielberg $75,000.
20-Year-Old (Trevor) Bayne wins Daytona 500!
The youngest driver to win the Great American Race gave the historic Wood Brothers team its fifth Daytona 500 victory — its first since 1976 with David Pearson — and Bayne did it in a No. 21 Ford that was retrofitted to resemble Pearson's famed ride.
US must be removed from Islamic world: Khamenei
Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Sunday called on Muslims to "remove" the US from the Islamic world. "The main problem in the Muslim world is the presence of the United States. It is the biggest problem. We need to address that," he told a gathering of Shiite and Sunni scholars in Tehran for an international conference on Islam. "It is necessary to remove the US from the Islamic world," the all-powerful cleric and Islamic republic's commander-in-chief said, adding that the country's arch-foe was currently weak. Khamenei urged Muslims worldwide to preserve the "people's movement in Egypt," saying it...

Republicans Scent Blood In White House Race
Barack Obama will face the electorate in over 20 months, but already Republicans are lining up to take him on. (VIDEO AT LINK) The process of selecting a party candidate is lengthy and costly, and begins in February next year with the Iowa caucuses. Party members across the states will then be able to weigh in through a series of primaries, with the candidate officially crowned at the convention in August. It is unlikely any Democrat would challenge President Obama, so the attention is now focused on who the Republicans will pick to challenge him. So far none has officially...
Leader: Wis. Senate to convene without Democrats
MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin's senate majority leader says the chamber will convene to pass non-spending bills and act on appointments Tuesday even if minority Democrats remain out of state. Republican Sen. Scott Fitzgerald told The Associated Press on Sunday that he would be reviewing which bills and appointees to schedule for action. He says senators can't wait around "twiddling their thumbs" until the Democrats return. Fourteen Democrats fled to Illinois last week to delay action on a budget bill that would effectively eliminate collective bargaining rights for most public employees. Republicans need 20 of 33 members to have a quorum...
Billboard question returns to Pennsylvania
The "Where's The Birth Certificate" billboard campaign has obtained a return engagement in Pennsylvania, and the historic message is not far from some historic landscapes. The newest billboard in the long-running campaign intended to encourage the release of information documenting Barack Obama's eligibility to be president has been erected along Route 15 southbound just two miles south of Dillsburg. The location in York County is just 10 miles from the capital and some 20 miles north of the battlefields of Gettysburg. The message arrived within days of a poll from Public Policy Polling that confirmed only 3 in 10 members...
Burglars’ Rights Defended in UK [Satire]
The ability of burglars to ply their trade in the United Kingdom was given a boost in two recent incidents. In one, police ordered residents in Surrey and Kent to remove wire mesh from windows because it “could injure burglars.” “Wire mesh is an unexpected and abnormal structure for a home window,” police spokesman Reginald Addleman pointed out. “Persons breaking into buildings could be seriously injured. Treating such avoidable injuries would stress the already tight budgets of the National Health Service. Property owners have no right to impose these costs onto the rest of the nation.” In another, police chastised...
The "Progressive" Fight To Save "The Force" In Wisconsin
John Fund has an excellent piece at the Wall Street Journal about what is at stake Wisconsin. Basically, he asks if politics gets to be run by the voters or the unions. I think that's a valid question. The people of Wisconsin decided last fall how their government should be set up. Like every other state, they're faced with a fiscal crisis. I don't know the ins and outs of their government, but if their problems are anything like my state, California, then the alpha and omega of its budget problems lies in the leviathan-sized parasite that is the...
Top 10 Parts Of The Constitution Twisted or Ignored By The Left
The United States Constitution is one of the most well thought-out works ever created by mere mortals. As the Federalist Papers make clear, America’s Founding Fathers carefully considered nearly every aspect of human nature, the demands of freedom, and the nature of government when drafting it, and created a system of government designed to effectively carry out its duties without imperiling liberty, and calibrated to properly balance society’s competing commitments to self-rule and objective morality, to liberty and security, and more. Under the Constitution, the United States became the freest, most prosperous, and most consequential nation in history. But to...
Conservative) Dana Loesch took some jabs at new employee CNN
Former mommy blogger and current conservative poster girl, our town's Dana Loesch is getting some attention for jabs she took in the past at her new employer, CNN. CNN hired Loesch, a south St. Louisan and co-founder of the local Tea Party, as a political contributor last week. And then yesterday, TVNewser, an industry blog hosted by mediabistro.com, reported about comments Loesch had made about CNN on some blog posts. She wrote on her blog, "The Dana Show: The Conservative Alternative," that Cable News Network was home to "tinfoil hats" in 2008; was "the biggest bunch of idiot blockheads," in...
Pentagon Bush aide 'was killed by hitman' claims distraught widow
Prominent Washington aide John Wheeler was assassinated by a hitman in a targeted killing, his widow has claimed. Katherine Klyce said the way her late husband’s body was dumped at a landfill site could only have been carried out by a professional. The 66-year-old suggested his work with the Pentagon over his decades-long career could have made him enemies who wanted rid of him.
Political is as political does (He tries to figure out the Tea Party Movement)
One of the great moments in the history of American candor occurred during the Carter administration, when economist Alfred Kahn decided to refer to a recession as a banana rather than deny its existence as administration officials would have preferred. While this lesson always is relevant to any discussion any minute of any day, it seemed especially so a week ago today as I read Rick Spruill's Page One story about the growth of the Tea Party. Rick reported a comprehensive picture of the growth, influence and mainstreaming of the Tea Party, its organizations throughout the region, its significant presence...
Reports: Gaddafi Has Left Libya, Fled for Venezuela
Update: In a press conference, Saif al-Islam Gaddafi tried to explain away the protests as a "plot against Libya" and "people on narcotics." He also stated that Libya falling would be "one thousand" times worse than Egypt falling. He also stated that "tomorrow" Libyans would create the Libya "we all dreamed of." If not, he continued, everyone "will pay." In reports that are as of now unconfirmed, it is being reported that Libyan Dictator Muammar Gaddafi has left Libya. This could possibly mark an end to Gaddafi's regime, which has ruled the coutry with an iron fist for over four...
Four Medicare Misconceptions
The federal Medicare program is popular among older Americans, but that doesn't mean it's easy to navigate. Medicare is a complex web of health benefits serving more than 46 million seniors and disabled people. It's easy to get confused, says Joe Baker, president of the Medicare Rights Center in New York. For instance, because the age to collect full Social Security benefits "is moving up to age 67, a lot of folks think Medicare eligibility has changed as well, but it hasn't," he says. "It's still at 65." Here are four common Medicare misconceptions: 1. Medicare works like private health...
Allen West lashes out at the “ignorance and dishonest rhetoric” of Congressional Democrats
After serving over a month in Congress, Representative Allen West, a Tea Party favorite is less than impressed with democrats from the other side of the aisle. He wrote his sentiments in a press release. After watching the week of debates on the fiscal problems the nation is facing, lack of jobs, and a huge deficit, he claims that he never heard such empty rhetoric and ineptitude as he has heard from democrats. Although he is pleased with being granted the opportunity to have the debate, he sees a lack of clarity from democrats on the failure of their policies....
exas poised to pass bill allowing guns on campus
AUSTIN, Texas -Texas is preparing to give college students and professors the right to carry guns on campus, adding momentum to a national campaign to open this part of society to firearms. More than half the members of the Texas House have signed on as co-authors of a measure directing universities to allow concealed handguns. The Senate passed a similar bill in 2009 and is expected to do so again. Republican Gov. Rick Perry, who sometimes packs a pistol when he jogs, has said he's in favor of the idea. Texas has become a prime battleground for the issue because...
This time, the people of Haiti may win
In 1915, the US Marines invaded Haiti, occupying the country until 1934. US officials rewrote the Haitian constitution, and when the Haitian national assembly refused to ratify it, they dissolved the assembly. They then held a "referendum" in which about 5% of the electorate voted and approved the new constitution – which conveniently changed Haitian law to allow foreigners to own land – with 99.9% voting for approval. The situation today is remarkably similar. The country is occupied, and although the occupying troops wear blue helmets, everyone knows that Washington calls the shots. On 28 November an election was held...
Photo Gallery: WI protests are all 'about the money'
Often during the Wisconsin pro-union protests, the mantra heard from crowds and Wisconsin Democratic legislators is that their demands are only about losing collective bargaining power and "not about money." took photos on Sunday afternoon in Madison, Wisconsin, and the signs of protesters show that their concerns are only about money. These themes on the signs amounted to: tax the rich, don't cut education funding, corporations paying a fair share, no tax breaks for businesses, and no bailout on the backs of unions. Below is a photo gallery of these signs that show the pro-union protesters are only talking about...
Top Ten Obama Budget Failures
Looking for a good joke? Did you hear the one about how President Obama is making painful spending cuts in order to reduce the budget deficit? There is so much to dislike in this budget that it’s hard to narrow it down to the worst ideas. But here are my top ten:

Uncle Sam Wants You. . .to Buy Treasury Bonds
The U.S. Treasury has an unenviable job: It has to find buyers for trillions of dollars in new bonds that are sold to fund each year's federal deficit and replace maturing bonds. It hopes average citizens will pony up and invest hundreds of billions of dollars in newly issued bonds, but that might not be a winning investment for you. With deficits climbing from $455 billion in 2008 to $1.42 trillion in 2009, $1.3 trillion in 2010 and an estimated $1.5 trillion in 2011, the Treasury's task has become even more challenging. For context, the current debt owed to "the...
Libyan tribe threatens to cut oil exports soon
The leader of the Al-Zuwayya tribe in eastern Libya threatened on Sunday to cut oil exports to Western countries within 24 hours unless authorities stop what he called the "oppression of protesters". Speaking to Al Jazeera, Shaikh Faraj al Zuway said: "We will stop oil exports to Western countries within 24 hours" if the violence did not stop.
Santelli Compares Budget Crisis to 9/11
NBC's Rick Santelli on Sunday compared the budget crises affecting state and federal balance sheets to a Sept. 11-type attack on the nation.
Maine has record lobster harvest (Yum)
PORTLAND, Maine – Preliminary figures show Maine fishermen caught a record 93.4 million pounds of lobster in 2010 valued at more than $308 million.
12 taxi drivers, fares killed in Mexican resort (ACAPULCO)
ACAPULCO, Mexico – A spate of attacks on taxis in the Mexican resort city of Acapulco has left 12 taxi drivers or passengers dead, police said Sunday, just hours before the Mexican Open tennis tournament is scheduled to start. Acapulco has been the scene of bloody drug cartel turf wars, and taxi drivers have often been targeted for extortion or recruited by the gangs to act as lookouts or transport drugs.
Proposed Funding Freeze on Step Increases and Federal Promotions Not Included in House Budget
House Republicans have passed legislation to fund the government through the rest of the fiscal year which ends on September 30th. The budget passed after an all-night session Friday that went into early Saturday morning. The good news for federal employees is that amendments proposed to HR 1, the continuing resolution bill which had about 600 proposed amendments, did not include proposed amendments to withhold funding for within-grade increases or for promotions of federal employees.
Budget Deficits, Pension Plans, And The Seeds Of Rebellion
Budget Deficits, Pension Plans, And The Seeds Of Rebellion By Joel Bowman 02/20/11 Buenos Aires, Argentina – “Is the world finally cracking up?” we wondered aloud in these pages earlier this week. From the look of events unfolding across the volatile Middle East and North Africa region, it certainly seemed so. Governments are toppling, buildings are ablaze and protesters are “speak-to-tweeting” their way to freedom…of a sort. But what about closer to home, back in the belly of the empire? It’s one thing for far-flung outposts to collapse, for the “uncivilized,” “unwashed” masses beyond the gates to storm their capital...
