“They fingerprinted her today, and they never told me anything. She is only 5 years old,” said Fallon Franco of York.
Franco doesn’t want her 5-year-old daughter to have her fingers electronically scanned.
The district plans to do that eventually for all of its students, but students at Jackson Elementary experienced it first. It’s a high-tech image finger-scanner for identifying students who buy food in the cafeteria.
The problem is that some Jackson parents say they were never told about the device until their children called them on the phone.
