(JUNE 3) -- Today’s IRS hearing before an Appropriations Subcommittee didn’t feature any of the witnesses believed to have a hand in the agency’s targeting of conservatives. So I didn’t expect anything too interesting. But this exchange genuinely surprised me.
As it turns out, IRS employees don’t tell tales. When questioned in the audit by Russell George, the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration, no one would cought up the name of who had given the order to target conservatives.
As they say in prison, you don’t survive in the IRS by snitching:
