A gunman, Thomas Piccard, a retired Virginia police officer, reportedly opened fire on a federal courthouse in West Virginia Wednesday afternoon before being shot and killed by authorities.
According to West Virginia Metro News, the gunman used a rifle and reloaded at least twice, before authorities returned fire fatally wounding the man. The outlet reported that no one was injured.
