BROOKLYN HTS, OH - A woman is facing charges for stealing from nine area homes while working as a maid with a cleaning service.

Cara Galla has just been indicted. Brooklyn Heights Police led the investigation with help from other agencies.
Police say Galla worked with a company called Sparkling Clean Homes, and as soon as the company suspected there might be a problem, the company owner called customers and told them to check around their homes.
Now police say Galla is accused of stealing from four homes in Brooklyn Heights, plus others in Solon, Garfield Heights, North Royalton, Bentleyville and Shaker Heights.
Investigators say Galla stole prescription drugs and jewelry--some of it worth thousands of dollars.
One victim told 19 Action News this served as a wake-up call to hide valuables with strangers around.
