Lawmaker Fears Senate will Vote on Collective Bargaining Changes without Democrats Present

Democrat Jon Erpenbach told the Associated Press Monday that Republicans could try to take the portion of GOP Gov. Scott Walker’s bill, which deals with collective bargaining, out of the proposal and tack it onto an unrelated bill Tuesday. Erpenbach says the move could allow Republicans to approve the measure without Democrats present. GOP Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald says the Senate may meet to take up appointments and other bills Tuesday. However, he did not indicate which items would be on the agenda.
