You wish.
Big-spending former Utah Senator-turned-DC lobbyist (what else?) Bob Bennett was the first casualty of the Tea Party revolution. He surfaced on Fox Business Network earlier today to comment on the “worst Congress ever” and declared:
“The Tea Party wave is receding and is not going to be as big a factor as it was in 2010.”
“When it hurt you?” Fox Business host Connell McShane interjected.
“Yeah, yeah,” sourpuss Sen. Bennett responded.
Full video clip is here.
Looks like Sen. Bennett has learned absolutely nothing since he fatally underestimated the power of limited-government activism in 2010.
His out-of-touch punditry comes on the eve of the Cruz coup in Texas, which comes after the amazing Mourdock upset in Indiana.
2012 promises to be another milestone for the Tea Party takeover of Capitol Hill — and all the Beltway barnacles can do is sit on the sidelines, griping with their Tea Party-trashing pals on both sides of the aisle about the death of mooooooderation.
Good riddance.
